Will they be the new ones or the old ones? Thoughts, opinions?

They are the standard TIE/ln Fighter, just with new paintjob and unique pilots. They are not the TIE/FO.

Per the preview, they will be the old TIEs. The assault carrier is from the TV show 'Rebels' which is set between Ep 3 and Ep 4.

I am sure they will be the old version(Imperial not First Order). The stuff for the Gozanti draws heavily from the Rebels TV show. Which is set several years before New Hope. It is a time era thing.

That being said, I am sure we will get cool new stuff for our TIEs.

Funny though since the show doesn't even use the same TIEs or Star Destroyers we know. The TIEs are short stubby ones and the Star Destroyers have giraffe bridges.

They will have the blue tint to them, unlike the core set and expansion pack grey color. The preview said they are like the ROTJ TIEs... but I think that the factory just has A LOT of blue plastic left over.

I'm pretty sure it's a stylistic difference, not a physical difference.

I dunno about that. I rewatched the pre-SE version of A New Hope last night, and was noticing that the TIEs looked a lot stubbier than I remembered.

And I'll trade the 4 gray ones I have for 4 of the blue ones immediately if I can find the people willing to do it.

Vader's blue TIE/Advanced does look good next to Fel in his Royal Guard Red TIE/Int and Palpatine in his white Lambda.

The darkness of the wash is a variable, but the blue is the same. Se the dark wash / light wash bombers to either side of the raider advanced. All are factory paint jobs.
