...and all three are relevant at this time of year in the US:

1) snowfall in the AK mountains

2) my alma mater's football season (Go 'HORNS!!! Beat ND!!!)

3) upcoming Star Wars movies

There is a distinct possibility of major disappointment in all three categories based on recent trends, but in this moment I feel like a little kid on Christmas Eve. Life is good.

It was in the mid-90s in Kansas yesterday. I'm sure I've missed Anchorage this much before, but I'll be damned if I can place exactly when.

Missouri has the same sort of weather right now. I hate it. I hate it more when it's late in the year when it should be a bit cooler.

We're often still in the 90s on Halloween. But then, that's Arizona for ya!

Arizona is nice and dry, though. 90 degrees in Arizona is downright decent, even pleasant in the shade. I knew a guy who came back from 110 degree temperatures in Iraq and completely wilted in the 90 degree Midwestern summer.
