Just curious what synergies people have found between old upgrades and new pilots or vice versa.

As a primary Rebel player the first things that come to mind are Blue Ace + R7-T1 and Poe + R5-P9.

Anyone else see something they like and can't wait to try?

Lone Wolf would be great on Poe as well. Lone Wolf and Autothrusters on Poe guarantee a single evade against each attack and make two evades very likely. R5-D8 patches up when some damage get's through.

Poe wants to take a focus action and not spend it until the end of the Combat phase. R5-D8 restores a shield if you have a focus token to spend at the end of the Combat phase.

Poe's ability only works while attacking or defending.

R5-D8's ability is an action, which is neither an attack nor defense.

Blue Ace and R7-T1 were made for each other. Blue Ace can use hard turn templates to boost. R7-T1 lets him measure to see if he's in an enemy arc and if he is he may get a target lock, boost, or both.

I have a distinct advantage of never running rebels, so having to find out what each droid ACTUALLY DOES when someone mentions it.

here's how to remember the difference between P9 and D8:

step 1: take D8

step 2: flip it 90 degrees so the "D" is on the bottom

step 3: observe the smilie it creates, which perfectly captures any sane person's reaction to how **** that upgrade is

Step 2: Rip him in half and use literally anything else.
