Goodness knows I'm not above an occasional cranky post (although I try to keep the outright flames to a minimum). And I've been fooled and baited more than my share of times by people who were just looking to get a rise out of me.
But it seems as if we're having a minor troll outbreak around here. So I thought it might be worth reminding people that trolls only care about getting responses. They don't care how clever your comeback or put-down is, they're not interested in learning anything new, and getting angry with them only boosts their confidence. They aren't out to engage with other people who genuinely enjoy a hobby: they're just trying to get your attention, and when you give it to them, you're actually rewarding their behavior.
So if you think you've spotted a troll, don't reply. Use the report button so the post or thread comes to the mods' attention, give a brief description of why you think the post is objectionable, and then move on to a topic that will reward your time and effort.
PSA: I know it's fun to poke them, but...
Yes, remember you can never win vs a troll. They'll drag you down to their level and beat you with experience. You can't reason with them, or debate them, because they aren't interested in a discussion, they are only interested in getting people riled up.
I troll for likes like a social mediaite. Give laughs, this is a freaking game forum.
Edit: And don't forget, if you like my post please hit the subscribe button. This isn't possible without you. I'd also like to thank Starbucks canned Refreshers for keeping me energized during those long game nights. Mmmm Starbucks, it's crack in a cup!

I don't know that I agree with that advice. If they get reported and banned they'll just make a new account and I'll have to learn to recognize their new account name.
It's just better to ignore the thread and let it drop into obscurity.

I can see the merit in that approach, too.
How about that T-65 though. Pretty useless, right?
Yeah I went and added him to my ignore list, where he is literally all alone.
I might agree. Ignore seems like a good method. Unless it's me

No, literally. my ignore list is comprised of one person.
