ARE THERE NEW ROCKS!

By akodo1, in X-Wing

Most important question for new core, are there new rocks!?!?!?!?!?

Which rocks will serve me best in a tournament!?!?!?!?!?!

Anyone come up with strategies to avoid landing on the new rocks with their deceptive shapes??!?!?!?!?!

Should I buy multiple Core sets for more access to the most powerful rocks yet seen?!?!?!?!!?!?

Yes.

Yes. Including the one I have nicknamed, the Big One.

THERE ARE NEW ROCKS. One very big. One seems very, VERY small.

Also, the question mark concludes questions, not the exclamation mark.

This is why I am drawn to the rebel side. I rebel against the nonsense punctuation rules you are forcing me to use.

#1 by the time you get to the end of the question, it's too late to inform someone that you are asking a question. If you are going to require a question mark to denote a question, it should be at the front of the sentence.

#2 With the current set of rules you are attempting to oppress me with there is no symbol to denote an exclamatory question. Hence, lacking that symbol, I feel free to choose EITHER allowable option.

#3 I am looking for your exhaust ports as we speak.

Judge my by my size do you?

Can we use these in conjunction with the old rocks?

I hope both, that would add a lot more diversity to tournament play.

1.b: ¿Hablas español? Even if not, feel free to start using the before-and-after pattern for exclamation points and question marks in English. ¡Maybe it'll catch on!

2.a: Given your apparent attitude towards punctuation rules, the phrase "EITHER allowable option" is at best inconsistent. Also, if the set of rules whose tyrannical weight bears down so heavily on your noble shoulders actually considered the exclamation mark to be one of two allowable options for the termination of a question, this discussion wouldn't be happening. (wistful sigh)

2.b: Do you seriously expect anyone to believe you're not familiar with the interrobang?!

#3 I am looking for your exhaust ports as we speak.

So now you can bring 2 big asteroids for your 3 obstacles. So you could expect more big rocks in the play area.

My question is why did they also give more of those worthless satellite tokens instead of new debris cloud tokens?

Aside from the fact that those are apples and oranges and there's no reason to assume that the scenario components had any bearing on the decision to keep the core set obstacles as rocks only...

My guess is that they wanted to keep the "starter set" feel by giving you exactly what you need for a standard dogfight, and leave the debris clouds as an advanced expansion-only thing.

Or, you can bring some tiny, tiny rocks.

EUIV!

Such a fun game. Unless France PUs Russia, in which case you toss your computer out the window.

All hail the Mighty Interrobang‽

Played with the new rocks last night.

The big one didn't seem noticeably bigger than the old big one, but that little one is TINY!

Sorry !TINY!

Yet someone still managed to hit it.

Photos don't really capture just how small the new small rocks are.

I love the variety of obstacles we have now and I'm looking forward to more.

Between the more Dash friendly damage deck, and the new larger asteroids that were I'm assuming designed to shrink the board a bit for some large ship hate, Super Dash has gotten quite a bit better. Coming from a Dash player.

The new rocks give us a new largest and third largest rock which is great for people who bring rocks(me). New Super tiny rock is dumb and I hate it

Yeah, my new tournament obstacle selection is the 2 large asteroids from the new set and the 1 large asteroid from the old set.

Glad to see I wasn't the only one that thought that little rock was extra tiny and the huge rock ginormous.

Well don't worry because Dash would bring 3 large debris clouds.

Tiny rocks is if you want minimal terrain impact but don't want to give dash a freebe.
