So I got the new box set. It has a damage deck that is different then the old deck. No munitions failure and a few other differences.

However, I didn't see any mention of which damage deck to use. when players have different decks. tonight when I play can I choose either one to use?

So if I'm flying no ships with secondary weapons I want to use the old deck, but if I have a TLT use the new deck?

What is everyone doing?

Well since I am assuming you are going to be running your new ships, I would say play test the new damage deck, and then put your report up here on the forums. No one really knows yet.

Not everyone is going to have a new core set today. It probably will not be officially required in official tournies until next month after the box has become more widely available at the end of September.

I hope you're right. I'm running a tourney at my FLGS on the 20th and I really hope we have some clarification by then.

TO always had the last word. No reason you couldn't tell people to used the old deck if some people there don't have the new deck by that time.

As long as both players in the match use the same type damage deck, you're fine. That makes it fair.

Tournaments are entirely different. There, it's up to the organizer until we get tournament rules that address it.
