Will the OT core set be updated with the new components?

It depends on how/when the new damage deck and core set is going to be implemented. The old one I guess is still legal (until an Errata/FAQ says otherwise), however if you are playing with the new ships then it is to be expected of you to use the new core set.

To be safe even though everything is supposed to be compatible into one big game (much like Warmachines and Hordes) I think it might be best to keep them separate at first when trying them out. Once the FAQs been updated, then just go with whatever it says.

Well the re-print of the core sets changed status yesterday to in stores now, so I do wonder if these ones have the update already.

I would wager they've updated them to contain the RRG, updated maneuver templates and damage decks. If they haven't, the next run likely will.

How did the maneuver templates change?

They now have more symbols on them, for things like the T-Roll and S-Loop

Well I'm happy gaming with ye olde core set and a few ships. But then I've recently been drawn to Armada so I'll be spending more on that once I've got a Firespray and Lambda.
