Cheers for the link.

I have issues using the FFG main page on my cellphone

Me too

Man those TIE's are ugly with those inverted colors. :(

I hope their sound is not inverted also from roar to purr in the movie.

Man those TIE's are pretty with those inverted colors. :)

Fixed that for you. :P

Seriously, I do really like the inverted color scheme, and the quality of the paintjob is MUCH nicer than on the old TIEs.

In the trailers they make the same noise as the OT so...no worries there.

I like the colours.

So you don't like the new I-Fighter from apple, just wait until you get a lode of our new I-Fighter S which is just like the TIE Fighter you just bought, only (slightly) better.

But for no adequately explained reason will require an entirely new fuel filling system that is incompatible with the old one, rendering the old one useless

Hmm. A bit disappointed. Was hoping for more than just this core for X-Wing. I wanted to see other games or possibly new products.

Yes that's part of the problem; they should not look pretty... :P But then again you cannot please everyone. For me they look like fliying japanese paper-walls with poor ability to absorb solar rays (as they are white and reflect visible wavelenghts at least). But fine, it is artists choice.

X-Wing looks nice though. Especially I like those original Ralph McQuarrie -style engines.

Man those TIE's are mega super ultra fugly with those inverted colors. :)

Re-fixed for great justice!

Seriously black is a stupid colour to paint them it makes them easier to pick up on sensors.

Which is why this is painted white. :P

That's not a starfighter though is it, if you'd actually looked it up you'd of found that black things in space have a higher thermal signature because they absorb the heat instead of reflecting it.

Only if it reaches black-body radiation levels. Everything has a black-body limit (how much radiation an object can absorb before it starts reflecting radiation back).

However the key word is absorb, remember that most of the mass of the universe is dark matter as in we can't see it because none of it is reflecting light back at us.

I'm pretty sure that's too much science to bring into Star Wars. Besides, it all depends on what sensors are being used. Do we see a lot of IR imagers during dogfights?

Heat really makes you stand out in the vacuum of space I'm sure it factors in on some level as would magnetic sensors and motion detection.

They are the First Order, they do not need to hide from anyone.

So does a high albedo. It all depends on your detectors.

And now we know that there were plans of the new TIE having 4 hull instead of 3 hull + 1 shield.

Great, now I can't unsee that.

At any moment, a ninja will be kicked through the side of one of it's wings...

So no one is excited about the Tech upgrade slot? Or that new card that would let you change blanks with focus while also letting you use another focus to change all the eye results as well? Come on guys, ugly/pretty ties can wait!

So no one is excited about the Tech upgrade slot?

Not really. There's one card for it so far. And it's a slot that's probably only for Ep. 7 ships. And since the only Ep. 7 ship that exists for me is a TIE I don't really want to run, I'm not that excited at the moment.

Tech just seems like a silly idea for a slot. Technically all the upgrades are tech. But especially systems and modifications.

And now we know that there were plans of the new TIE having 4 hull instead of 3 hull + 1 shield.

How?

How?

One assumes the image is an earlier build of the ship.
