this was incredibly obvious even when the idea of an ep 7 core set was introduced

I'm really puzzled as to why they made the tie fighters cockpits red? The artwork on the cards and all of the images we've seen of them imply they are shiny black or reflective silver it doesn't look horrible but its a tad strange.

It's visually striking.
