BB-8 is a normal astromech. The new set only includes one new kind of upgrade, "Tech" and it is available to both the T-70 and the FO/TIEs
The T-70 has a normal astromech slot. So BB-8 on wedge and R2-D2 on Poe is perfectly fine.
Oh, I thought it was a different icon for some reason. I must have been mixing it up with the tech upgrade icon. Cool ![]()
Palob w/ TLT, Bossk, Moldy Crow and Wired might work ok. Pablo can stay stressed and get tokens if he needs them for the second shot. Save the focus tokens for defence.
The list I want to try is:
Tycho w/ Test Pilot + PTL + Wired + Refit + Autothrusters
3x Green w/ Test Pilot + PTL + Wired + Refit + Autothrusters
99pts, yes please.
It is a low-powered EPT and that means if it is used, then it is going to be on an A-wing test pilot in conjunction with PTL.
Since there are so many EPTs and a decent number of them high-powered EPTs the only way you would start to see low-powered EPTs if they were able to be taken with a high-powered EPT in other words a ship will have to have 2 or more EPT slots.
Edited by MarinealverAny more imperial builds?
Predator is more than 3 times better except for double EPT situations.
yes and no
yes because it's not nearly as conditional
no because wired can be used defensively
the problem is finding an efficient way to enable it apart from Tycho and r3-a2
If it's really that good you could fire it off Experimental Interface. If you've got no upgrade card action to perform it's just stress.
Wired is not 4 points good
it costs 1 point for a reason
It's a Half-Ibtisam measure. And I like it.
Imagine in on Ibtisam ![]()
Poor Lt Lorrir, finally the stress from his ability would have been useful...but no EPT slot ![]()

I was thinking the exact same thing.
Likewise. ![]()
Defenders might like this just fine. They don't mind too much flying around with stress if they are getting a benefit from it.
Scum have a number of upgrades that cause stress: Glitterstim, Inertial Dampeners, Bossk crew, to name a few. Unfortunately, Wired is useless with Glitterstim, and rarely helps with Bossk crew.
Oh, how I wish Lt. Lorrir could take an EPT ![]()

Between Wired and Blue Ace, Lorrir hates the new Core Set.
3 Greens and either Jake or Tycho with PTL, Wired, and Autothrusters should be a fun list as long as the low damage output doesn't get you down.
Jan with TLT, Wired, Nien, and Engine Upgrade will be great when paired with a high PS hitter. She's quick and mobile, with reasonable damage output at range 3, and Wired gives her good enough dice modification that she can afford to pull a green and boost with EU every round.
I put together a list last week that built around Wired. I haven't had a chance to try it yet. I think Ibtisim might not be the best addition to the list but it went with the theme but I think Tych and Jan with Wired are a great pair.
Edited by WWHSDThe new TIE has a full set of Green 2's and those amazing new S-loops. Wired and PTL will be great EPTs for these guys.
Wired also could help a Defender stick around a little longer and open up its dial when used with TIE MK.II mod.
Wired feels like a discounted Lone Wolf.
Wired is just as strong offensively if you have no focus tokens with Lone Wolf. It's a little worse defensively.

1/8th worse, but maybe better just from a sustainably standpoint. Seems easier to have stress than to stay away from things. Also can be used in groups, which is intriguing.
Best mate for Wired: Fleet Officer. It's the only non-unique non-Elite Talent upgrade that lets you stress yourself at-will.

nice find!
problem is the only viable ships are sprays, phantoms and kenkirk (only deci to have agility dice to modify)
stupid lack of shuttle ept...

issue i have with sprays taking it once Gesundheit(Gozanti) is released you have Kallus absorbing that spot.
B-Wing /E2 with 3P0
Guess 0.
Roll eye
Gain Evade token
Reroll
Profit.
Except C3PO does not give you a token...you only add to the result.
Now depending on the timing of events...you can guess zero, roll an eye, take your C3PO evasion, then reroll the eye hoping for an evade.
An option when trying to evade 2 hits/crits from one ship shooting you. But not a way to get a free evade token hoping your reroll comes up with an evade so you have a token for the second guy shooting you.

kallus will shrlop that crew slot on anyone (esp kenkirk if 2-ship builds remain a thing)
the thing with Wired is that it, by itself, isn't really game changing. Like Predator, you have to combine it with other **** (like gunner) to get some really good returns.
In this case, we have (so far) A-wing Test pilot (combine with PTL), certain pilot abilities (jan), E.I (though finding the upgrade to enable E.I without getting morbidly expensive seems impossible) and fleet officer (more of a support ability, with Wired then helping ease the burden of the supporting ship)
basically, the ships you put Kallus on and the ships you put wired + officer on will be filling completely different roles (assassin, support respectively)

I'd still make the argument that wired is pretty solid for defenders. Wired + mk II makes a pretty solid 37 point vessery that can run with Vader and actually just be reasonable value I think.
