Why does everything related to xwing dice probabilities only go up to 4 dice?

By Jaden Ckast, in X-Wing

just curious why it stops at 4 attack dice? I have been looking at ordinance recently and on some of my builds could get up to 6 dice and would like to know some probabilities but it seems everything stops at 4. Any reason why?

Mathwing nerds are simultaneously OCD and lazy.

4 is a realistic value to bother with. 5 comes up only rarely and 6 usually depends on fragile combos.

No one can say "pewpewpewpewpew" fast enough so it always comes up blank. "Pew" through "pewpewpewpew" is totally attainable.

This is absolutely the correct answer, at least where I'm concerned.

Because you get what you pay for.

Because most of the charts you're finding are probably from the early days of the game, where 4 was an actual hard limit. Nobody's bothered to update them for the new 5-7 attack dice reality we live in.

There is an app out there that goes to 6 attack dice. Forgot which one.

Because you haven't made the app for the rest of us :D

All of these are excellent responses I must say hahaha. Darn lazy nerds! Don't they know we have probabilities to solve!!

I use an android app called x-wing battle computer. Its goes up to 6 attack and agility dice and has range selection along with various options of focus, target lock, evade, reroll dice, gunner, and han. I believe it uses iteration to get it's probablility, so you need to run it for a couple seconds to get an idea of what the probability is.
