There's nothing to get excited about. There have been no release announcements.

The truth is, the failure of some of the retailers carrying the new core set to keep it under wraps is where the big failure for this was. I would be going CRAAAAZY tomorrow if it was the first time I was seeing the new core set. As is, it's much more a "$40? I can wait..." type of reaction.

Curiously, I'm exactly the opposite. I didn't much care...until I saw the T-70 model and everything that goes with it. The three new ships (and ten new pilots!) plus damage deck and clarified rules are very exciting to me.

I already own 3 cores (3 people in my house play tournaments) and am not pleased about having to drop 40 just to get a new damage deck so I can participate in league/tournaments. There's nothing wrong with the current system.

I'm hoping the tie cog will be worthwhile otherwise the episode VII stuff is a bust for me.

I feel the same. the only ships I'm purchasing this weekend is a Y-wing and maybe another T-65...

Waiting for it to be online so I can buy it cheaper. That and I would prefer to know what the other two SKU's are before I make purchases.

Actually I am. With the new T-70, it kind of cements a T-65 fix in bound if FFG want's to keep up the long standing policy of "No-power creep". (all the wave one ships are still competitive, save the T-65 at this point, it would be sensible to incorporate a fix for it).

Which is why optional damage decks is never a good thing.

If FFG was smart then they would keep the old one legal until the full release then somehow phase over to the new one.

Of course if they sold the damage deck separately then phasing over would be much easier.

But as for getting back on topic, well for one I am skeptical of Episode 7 so that includes all products related to episode 7. There's a reason why this has not been released yet.

Not OP, but fun. That trumps OP in my book.

I will wait and see how it will be released here in Germany. If I have a tournament upcoming after the release I might get it for the damage deck, if not I will wait until I have seen and liked (as in not despised) the movies.

EDIT: Just noticed the new asteroid tokens, HYPE! Somehow obstacles really exite me, the more the better. You can, assuming they are compatible with the rules we have right now, have two big rocks.
