So if you can only get the new rules at Target (for sake of argument, i know thats not the case) then that would mean that the rest of the world played a different game to North America as I'm pretty sure you dont get 'target' stores anywhere else.

The episode 7 merchandise release has been an arrangement between Disney and Target at the CEO level. Disney considers the new core set to be episode 7 merchandise (rightfully so) and has decided that Episode 7 merchandise should be given to major retailers first and foremost. So niche hobby shops where most FGLS and FFG products arrive at will have to wait until the mouse has given them the okay to eat the crumbs.

Watch everyone's gonna get this core set and find out that the bases and maneuver templates are just a little bit smaller than everything else..... meaning that it's not compatible with the rest of the game! OMG that would be awful but morbidly hillarious at the same time. and awful.

Yep but i'd imagine they have still got a deal with large UK/Euro distribution as well.

For example 'waterstones' and 'tesco' in the uk both stock the core set (its click and collect with tesco), tesco being our wallmart afaik

Target (and possibly other big box stores) are having them tonight because they have the infrastructure and management to get stock and keep it (and info about it, more or less) secure until the embargo is lifted. That is the ONLY reason we are hearing about just them. Anyone who is able to have a stock of the stuff is able to sell it starting in a few hours. I think it is reasonable to assume that FFG is able to get stock of their own product, so yes, their own store will almost certainly have it (and possibly 2 other new products) available when they open tomorrow.

Fact is that FFG 'exclusive' or 'limited' stuff was publishing only with different art that had no influence on gameplay whatsoever.

We will get eventually what we want and where we want.

Both core sets have different stuff in them. Therefore, they will both continue to be made.

Unless they will do similar move as with Dust Tactics core set - became Revised...

Non-Disclosure Agreements, which the CEO of FFG talked about at length during the publicly viewable InFlight report from GenCon, where he said that a whole bunch of awesome new X-Wing products are coming for September 4th. It's so secret that it was all over YouTube, and discussed here at length. Yes, "sooper sekrit" indeed.

Frogy's posts really fit the pattern described in the article. First a few "normal" posts, but already bad wording, and then on to trolling, in accelerating pattern. So there is some chance that Frogy is just trolling. Look at the profiel and the posts.
