Sorry to hear that. New Core sets have been confirmed for Target stores here in the States. Generally the US gets new X-Wing product before the rest of the world. Hopefully the new greatness will find its way down under soon enough.

Apparently the new wave was spotted local to me, just an hours north of Sydney, last weekend, if not the week before. One of the guys in my gaming group told me. Not that anyone else has picked up the game, they just leave it to me to buy the ships. And we haven't had a game in months.

Actually not true, at least for the last couple releases, typically Aussie gets it before the US but FFG embargo's the stock till the US shipment gets to the states, so it was entirely reasonable to think it might have been on sale in Aussie today

I cant say I've heard anything about "force friday" from anywhere other than US retailers and online. There is a very low media profile here in the UK for this. Five ToysRUs stores across the whole country are opening at midnight.. five. And we don't have Target.
Browsing around I can see a very low media profile just starting to appear, a little mention on the BBC and some blog posts from TRU getting people prepared.
Certainly the LGS are unaware of any releases and certainly are not expecting product tomorrow.

I'm in Canada and I agree, only the US will have the new core set tommorow. I have a bet with a friend, i'll buy him a new core set tomorrow if I find one here.

We'll probably get an announcement from FFG tomorrow and they will be available for ordering but I really think that only US Target stores are going to have it when the sun comes up in North America.

I believe it was the rather imaginatively named The Game Shop at Erina, in Erina Fair. I do believe that my mate was just talking about X-Wing stuff. I kinda realized that after I made my previous post and went to bed. Was one of those things that come to you as you drift to sleep. Last thing I said that day was 'Doh!' lol

Ahh, was in there yesterday. Yes, they have Wave VII. Staff in there are friendly but the fella yesterday had no idea about the new core or even that it was Force Friday.

Does your mate have a group that play here on the coast? I've just moved back here from a stint overseas and wouldn't mind rolling some dice.
