Will we ever get the Tie Aggressor? -.-

Once I had no doubts - but now since the inverted Episode 7 Disney-Ties have been spoilered...

Together with the Episode 7 teasers that show the Disney-Tie Cog, which has a little turret attached to the lower side of the cockpit....

I fear that we will never get Tie Aggressors.

I fear we'll get Tie Cogs instead.... as the only turreted Imperial ... sorry First Order ... Fighters..... -.-

There still is hope ... but its fainting .......

The funny thing is TIE Cogs are even uglier than the TIE/Ag.

You're kidding?

TIE Cogs are just whitewall TIEs with a fairly logical turret under the cockpit and reinforced wing braces.

The TIE aggressor is a TIE advanced with a botched trim on its rear wings and a turret that only shoots backwards and has nobody to man it. It just looks plain bad with those backwards wings.

Its one redeeming feature is that it isn't the TIE oppressor, by far one of the worst EU FrankenTIEs.

TIE Cogs are a TIE with utterly pointless gubbinz slapped on, no regard for extant mechanisms, and some fairly stupid geometry that implies an art student with Blender rather than an industrial-design major.

(the turret and hollowing-out of the cockpit have absolutely no regard for the necessary mechanisms that used to occupy what is now empty space)

The turret's external. The expanded wing braces have a greater volume, and it's 30 years newer.

Furthermore, the TIE fighter itself isn't exactly a trailblazer in practical design.

The Disney-Tie Cog's slapped on turrets reminds me a bit on WH40k orc technology

While the Tie Aggressors design look rather robust and reliable.

I'm a SWG:JTL veteran. I have first-hand experience with Tie Aggressors ;)

Tie Oppressors should be like the spoiled Disney-Ties are going to be.

Maybe there is even still hope for the Tie Oppressor .... but ... the Disney Order might be a bit stronger now.

Even if they'd used this thing I'd be okay with it, but a regular TIE with [EDIT] details is right out.

I hope to god you don't think an Industrial design major designed anything in Star Wars.

The sad news is that there is not enough love for the Tie Aggressor from the Community.

If there were more 'We want the Tie Aggressor' Posts ... well, this would maybe let it appear at some point of time

Probably not.

Will we ever get the Tie Aggressor? -.-

Probably not.

Would be a shame

Not really. There's not a single released TIE I'd trade for either of the Galaxies TIEs.

They just released the TIE Punisher!

Honestly, Galaxies has a good release track record. I am confident we'll get the Aggressor at some point.

The hard part is which rebel ships will we get to match it?

TIE Avenger and the Assault Gunboat must come first.

Semi-inexpensive TIE Scyk with a turret slot comes after.

Out of all the ships they could make for the empire, this one i'd rather not see. Hell i'd rather see the tie droid than the aggressor. The aggressor just looks like a slightly modded tie advanced, and we are already going to have two variants of the tie advanced including the inquisitors prototype (three if you include the updated one in the raider kit). The tie oppressor is yet another design which I think is quite bad as well. I wouldn't mind seeing some non ships though, like space defense platforms similar to the golans (but not as large).

Droid, Predator, and hunter before those or even the aggressor.

Personally, I hope we get both. With the Special Forces TIE/FO just having an auxiliary firing arc, while the TIE Aggressor gets a real Turret upgrade slot.

The Aggressor has the potential for being a really cheap turret. It's basically a TIE Advance with no shields and(depending on whether they use the SWG version or the FFG RPG version), no missile slot or target lock action, but does have a turret slot.

At that point, statwise, it's basically a TIE/ln with a turret slot and a slightly worse dial.

If the lowest skill pilot can manage to come it at no more than 14 points, then we're looking at a ship that can potentially field 5 TLTs on the table.

5 TLTs isn't going to happen.

5 TLTs isn't going to happen.

It'd have to be 14pts for that, and I wouldn't guess under 15-16.

I think it depends how low the lowest skill pilot is.

Probably have to be around negative 2.

The Oppressors are my favorite TIEs personally and I seriously doubt FFG is going to switch to only releasing canon ships unless new fighter models or Legends Fighter models start appearing in the canon material much faster then they did in the earlier moves and TCW

There's no way an empty turret slot is worth 4 points.
