I really liked the Yuuzhan Vong books, and I think they have enough ships to make a faction which could be quite interesting, what with bio ships and stuff. What do you think? Is this something that could be interesting? I imagine that it would be extremely difficult for them to share or make use of most upgrade cards, though. What are your thoughts?
Yuuzhan Vong as faction
No.
And the books sucked too.
NOPE!

Setting aside all of my literary and aesthetic objections to the Vong, here's the complete list of their starfighters:

It's going to be hard to make a faction out of that.

You must be setting aside quite a lot...

That's a point. I actually object LESS to Jar Jar Binks than I do to the Yuuzan Vong...
No longer canon.
No longer canon.
Nor is Thrawn AFAIK... and for some Angels, a few demons is worth it.
What a tangled mess.
God please no.
Worst thing in the EU made into a faction... no thanks
Practical point:
YUUZHAN VONG DO NOT HAVE ENOUGH SHIPS SMALL ENOUGH FOR A WAVE
(this is a truly tiresome subject)
Not gonna happen. Vong are gone and good riddance.
Hahaha, ok. I didn't know there was so much hatred for them. I did not think they would be appearing anyway, and now I know for sure.
Many ships are explained in the books, though. The coral skipper is just the most common one used (by quite a bit).
Norym pretty much covered it for me. It's for this reason alone I was glad they threw away the EU. The Thrawn books being a pleasant side effect as well.

If I want to play with the Borg I'd be playing Attack Wing
TraitorEnemy LinesNo.
And the books sucked too.
Also Salvatore should have a restraining order for writing devices.

Yes. The Vong are lazy storytelling, and the NJO novels ranged from pedestrian to offensively bad.
I think there was lot of good stuff with the Vong, but there was also a lot of garbage. Plus their ships just aren't that compelling.

This GIF was made for exactly this. Can't believe I'm the first in this topic.
It's funny because he didn't believe the rest of the office when they told him Toby was back.

I enjoyed the NJO.
But, they really can't exist as a faction. Not nearly enough ships. Besides, looking at the official art, the Coralskipper would be putting the wizards in FFG's miniature design to the impossible task of making it look good.
No no no no no no
