So my local store only shows 11? That seems like a really low number. I guess there is no point showing up Friday during the day to see if there is any left.

OK, odd sorta question. As supporters of this game, is it good to buy from a big-box national chain in order to create sales and demand and hopefully get the game a larger shelf presence in Target and hopefully draw in a larger player base?

My guess would be every store will have some--national chain, national distribution, and a business model built on relative uniformity.

No, although every FLGS owner I've been in touch with (both of them!) are champing at the bit. I would hope they'll be able to order from FFG starting tomorrow, but I don't think anyone knows for sure.

Well, as a disclaimer I haven't seen any public information that confirms the other two SKUs are Episode VII-related.

But two things lead me to believe Target won't have any expansion packs, if they exist:

(1) They only ever stocked the original core set.

(2) FFG is going to want/need to do something to mollify the (rightfully) annoyed people in the FLGS distribution network, and keeping the expansion packs in their usual distribution network might help accomplish that.

Searching for 087-10-1337 gives me tents, a T-Ball set, and womens' clothing.

I recall the whole Target issue back when the game was released! For those that didn't know, FFG didn't expect Target to want to carry a selection of the Core set in every, single Target in the US! It caused huge supply issues. It all happened when Will Wheaton reviewed it on his YouTube channel and Target made a deal to stock all games he reviewed. So, it sucked the market out for the game and people couldn't find it anywhere! People were chomping at the bit to buy the Core rules, but all local stores were out while some Target in nowhere Arizona had a huge stash. It was quite the issue....and all due to Target.
