FFG How About A Preview Of The M22-T Krayt Gunship/Bomber?

This image just makes me feel sorry for the E-wing and Z-95...

I mean Such obscure ships will never be released before fan favourites like the R-41, Skipray, and XG-1 Assault Gunboat.... What?

Oh god not the Starchaser.

Anything but the Starchaser.

The TIE phantom's a good design, and it's also in the much more recent Empire at War.

Come to think of it, every EU ship they've released is either in Galaxies or Empire at War save for the K-wing and TIE interdictor.

I wouldn't be surprised at all if the Skipray is in Wave 9, now they've got all the ESB bounty hunters done. The Assault Gunboat, as much as I like it, never stepped outside of the flight sims, same with the TIE avenger. The R-41 can go rot somewhere.

Do you think you can stop acting like an old mean-curmudgeon who always has a snark remark for people who are happier than you are?

:D

It is not my fault that you are full of mean.

I am almost always happy and MY GENUINE LOVE WILL ALWAYS UTTERLY DESTROY MORONIC HATE.

:)

I am not alone in this either... not at all.

;)

You are invited to join The STAR WARS LOVE CLUB... here and now... come to the light, Dark Star... come. Let go of the hate.

^_^

No, do not let go of the hate. Use your aggressive feelings, boy. Let the hate flow through you!

With each passing moment you make yourself more a servant of the Empire!!!

True Dat!

The R-41 and XG-1 Assault gunboat both made appearances in Mysteries of the Sith, along with the DX-9 stormtrooper transport. - so yes they did. I accept that this was the same era, and same publisher. But I'd argue that these ships ARE iconic star wars from that era, which itself was a golden age of Star Wars.

I liked the R-41. It also appeared in TFU-2. Making it a ship that appeared in newer legends material (along with Juno Eclipse and Black-8...)

I had forgotten that the Phantom was in Forces of Corruption...

Krayt isn't obscure if you played Galaxies.

It's in fact exactly as obscure as the Syck, Decimator and Khiraxz. Three ships that I am sure we'll never.... oh... wait really? Nevermind. Hah, I suppose they'll release a REALLY obscure ship from a terrible early 90s rail shoo.... oh, really? The Phantoms in too? ****.

I mean Such obscure ships will never be released before fan favourites like the R-41, Skipray, and XG-1 Assault Gunboat.... What?

God next you'll tell me they released a ship that was clearly just a filler art thing from that one AOE2 clone, you know the TIE In.... GTFO...

Never say never.

Never call anything obscure if it was in a Star Wars videogame. Even the terrible ones like the Rebel Assault series. apparently. If it was in, I dunno, the ENTIRE X-wing Quadrilogy it should be in this game or armada no matter what it is. NO Exceptions.

If it was in SWG, it's more or less got a shoe in too it seems, so far we are 3 out of 11ish ships that were introduced for that game. (Khiraxz, Syck, Deci - with the Vigo getting a cameo as an objective that came with the shuttle) Ships we've not yet gotten are the Icky, the Ricky, the Duny, the Kimo, the Krayt, the Nova Courier, the Aggressor and the Oppressor.

Another Star Brother hip to our cause, reality, and coolness factor. Dat Glory! Dat Truth!

:D Dat! DAT!! :lol:DAT!!!

(one for each ship The SCUM Haters said no to, and we got it anyhow... H, HA, HA!!!)

boba_fett_star_wars.gifHATE SCUM? Then you hate STAR WARS... Shame on yah!

Did you order extra ships to crush into dust to snort or something? :P

What did I say never to? I was just stating that topics like this are painfully redundant, and it would do this forum well to have them tucked away in a file of their own.

And yes, there are obscure ships currently in the game. I have no issues with that. But I would roll my eyes just the same if someone posted a thread similar to this about the scyk before there was a single point worth pointing to of their likelihood of making the cut.

If this ship comes into the game, great. I'll take the time to look up its backstory then and do my best to get excited for it as needs be. But finding a ship we like then posting a thread and shouting "OOOH OOOOH OOOH! Purrty! I likes this one! FFG give us a preview!", when the thread could've easily just been a post in an already established thread (here is the latest), just isn't necessary. Joe's enthusiasm is untouchable, I'll give him that, but threads like this, where there is more picture to be seen then discussion to be had, don't need their own thread.

There is always a "what ship do you want to see?" thread floating around somewhere, but because they get put a few pages back, people will post topics like this once they are clear of the first page. Having a subforum would help clear up that issue, so people who like looking at pretty pictures of ships can just pop in there and enjoy themselves.

Nah... boiled 'em.

It is not so much a "I wonder, how about it guys?" topic... rather a "FFG we know... so how about a show?" topic... plus it is supposed to be fun and funny and pictures are cooler than words.

:)

Some do...

Let us fanboys fanboy on about our ships man

Let us speculate, and if we finally lose hope, let us go to mel's to buy and paint them and just use homebrew rules.

Homebrew rules that typically get discussed in these threads.

Hel-Nah we are supposed to be dry-smart-curmudgeon-mature-adults.

As much as I like these big SWGalaxies ships, I have a feeling the Skipray Blastboat will be the Scum analog to the K-wing and TIE Punisher. Makes me sad. :(

(I don't know why it makes me sad. I hardly played Galaxies but I've used Skiprays a lot in Empire At War: Forces of Corruption. Maybe it's just that sweet color scheme.)

Skipray wasn't in Galaxies, but it has a proud EU background. I'd like it as a scum large PWT... With the krayt as a scum large base with a primary attack of 4 and a secondary turret slot.

Skipray wasn't in Galaxies,

Sorry I wasn't clear. I meant I like the Galaxies ships better than the Skipray, but fear that the Skipray will be selected instead of the Galaxies ship for the heavy bomber roll. But you mentioned a large ship, so maybe my understanding of the size of these ships is off and the Krayt is a totally different size from the Skipray.

I actually am not sure if it'd be large or small. I based the sizing of the Krayt on the sizing of other ships that were both in the FFG SW RPG's and X-wing, so far ships with a silhouette of 4 were large base, wheras 3 were small every time (not sure if K-wing or punisher broke that trend though). The Krayt is a sil. 4 ship.
