I recently finished a campaigned where I unlocked C3PO and R2D2 as allies as well as got the counterparts card, which allowed me to bring one of them for free.

So, I brought both of them to Last Stand for only 2 Threat. R2D2 opened the doors for me (Tho he died before he could open the last door), and C3PO kept handing out focuses.

Before opening the last door, 3 out of the 4 heroes were focused and ready to go. The rebels had victory on the first activation 9f the following turn.

The droids worked very well.

Yeah that seems like a good thing to me. Low cost allies that actually make a difference are nice to see.
