i just bought Tannhauser and think its a great game. I was going to buy Wolf off Ebay even thought they go for around 50$ because of it being a promo , then i real that FFG is releasing it along side the next box expansion. I for one think this is a good idea although I have seen alot of ppl who preordered Tannhauser get upset because of Wolf going on sale to everyone. I can understand the way of thinking that FFG is kinda screwing those ppl but think about the impact that this could have on the future of the game , there really is no negative impact on the past anyway. By making him available you have the opportunity for more players to buy him and thus strengthen the game plus what if your copy was lost , broken or stolen how would you replace it? Problem solved. So just stop , take a breath and look at the positives of this decision and not the few negatives , really only one is you got Wolf a while before everyone else. Heres hopeing for a long gameing lifespan for Tannhauser

I think that FFG making Wolf available to all is a necessary business decision now that FFG is the sole owner of Tannhauser. Consider their options.

1 - Keep things how they are - Wolf available in Europe, not North America, except for French Canada.

2 - Make Wolf out of print for everyone.

3 - Make Wolf available for everyone.

Wolf was not intended by the makers of the game (TOY) to be a limited edition and he is incorporated into the design of the game.

Option 3 is the only thing that makes any sense with FFG now having worldwide rights to the game. To those who spent $50 on Ebay, I'm sorry, but you got early use of the figure. Spending the money was your choice and you knew that the figure was available elsewhere. Heck, I spent a bunch of money on Daedalus, but I paid for the early access to the expansion and now I'm gonna have to buy it again for the extra board. Oh well, those are the breaks.

This is not a collectible miniatures game.
