Talon roll and the Tie Defender

You can see how overcosted the Defender is with a simple thought exercise: for 31 points, would you rather run Poe or the generic Defender with Mk2 TIE engine? Does a white 4k equal 7 points in pilot skill, a printed pilot ability, and barrel roll instead of boost?

The T-70 Tallon Roll is is red so it's pretty close to the Defender's 4K followed by a barrel roll. Not the same maneuver, of course, and yes they could have had a white one of those... I agree the Defender is a bit overcosted... I think another reason it was higher up there was the cannon slot in combination with the white 4K.

Personally, I'd prefer segnor loops over talon rolls for the Defender.

The defender needs a new dial with a pair of white S-loops and a pair of T-rolls, and two more greens.

Well the white K-turn + Barrel roll places it in the same place as a S-loop and it won't be stressed for the next turn. as for greens just some that are not straight will help it out. The dial isn't really that bad, the 30 point cost however is.

As for the T-roll it is harder to block much like the S-loop. At least the Defender can make another K-turn attempt if it does get blocked on the next turn.

You forgot the 4 and 5 banks and turns, all green of course.

Well that's just silly. Where would you get the templates?

You could always borrow them from dragon/trek wing

Reason for a fix: I think FFG just overestimated the white koiogran

They sure did. They must not have taken into account that there are numerous ships able to perform actions before making a red k-turn through System Upgrades or other abilities.

And I always assumed that stress was something that happened to the pilot, not to the ship. Why would a pilot performing the same maneuvers in different ships experience different g-forces of pressure?

I kind of get it when you get stressed for making a shuttle make a 2 speed turn.

Any of you guys ever drive a minivan and attempt some hard turns or sudden movements in the rain? It is stressful as fuqk.

On the lines of bb-8, if you added a free boost when you reveal a white/green maneuver, then the k-turn turns into a sloop. A bit bigger, and much easier to block.

Ever driven a sports car down a series of switchbacks? It is a lot less stressful than in a truck, and entirely due to the vehicle and not the driver. The tie defender could have better inertial dampeners or some sic-fi handwavium to explain the white koiogran.
