Defender Repaint: Warp Squadron

By Chrysis84, in X-Wing

Well this is my Defender Warp Squadron. They fly with my Raider dubbed Harbinger. If anyone wants to know the names came from both Mass Effect and Warhammer 40k both of which I am big fan of. I apologize for the crappy quality but thats the best my phone can pull off.

They were all hand painted with a homemade wash, no stencils or airbrush.

They're amazing! Love those images!

The links require signing in to a Google account to see them. Perhaps upload them to an image hosting site such as Photobucket?

Simple, yet striking. I like them

Did you call them Warp Squadron because you painted them in the classic Skywarp color scheme from Transformers or is my geek going into overload?

It's a lovely colour scheme, but the pictures look really blurry to me. Don't know if it's a browser quirk or whatever.

Blurry here too. Did you use a 10 year old camera?

Nicely done. I like the color scheme quite a lot.

Lol If you guys look, he does say he used a phone that couldn't take good pics.

Given that the couch in image 3 is in focus, I suspect that you've just tried to get too close to your subject (The ships). Lenses have a minimal focus distance, usually 25cm for phones. Take a step back, make sure everything is in focus, take the shot and crop the image down. Your images well be sharper and animals will flock to you when you walk through the forest.

No but we can add it to the list ;)

As i stated earlier Im sorry for the crap photos. i thought it more prudent to get myself a raider then purchase a camera.

"More prudent". ^^

It's funny as this was my first thought too.

I had skywarp when I was a kid.

I just love black with purple trim as a colour scheme

No worries - you can always use a desk lamp or even some natural light failing that.

All the images in this gallery were taken on a phone camera with the light from a window. I was running into the same focus problem as you were until I eased back a bit.

:)
