hyperspace assualt says when you deploy from the objective token you deploy "at distance 1 of 1 objective token"

mine fields says also place 6 objective tokens "at distance 1 of an obstacle"

so on mine fields does that mean you have to place the mines close to the obstacles? you can't just place mines willy nilly, i thought it was u placed mines anywhere as long as they were not within distance 1 of an obstacle?

so, hyperspace assault, does that mean you have to place the ship and/or squadrons within the distance 1, you can't have the ship or squadron hanging outside distance 1?

Yes. When you measure from these items (obstacles or token) it will have to have a portion inside of the 1 area of the distance ruler.
