Elite Wookiee warriors don't seem worth it to me. 3 points more for only 2 health and +1 damage to the damage increasing surge. Particularly when you can run 3 or 4 of the regulars in a list

Yeah, I'm getting errors too.
Not me. Man, these wookies look great.
Link works here too. I agree on the Elites; doesn't seem such a worthwhile investment.
They seem pretty durable for the price. 2 Figures, 11 HP each, with a black die for 8 points. I'd agree that the Elite isn't worth it over the standard.
For those of you whom the link works for, would you mind posting all the spoiled card images?

That will most likely kill this tread
Speed 4 without Reach... no Imperial-Officer typ of units, which can bring them into Position... i actually don't see them in my lists (at the moment)...

Have they changed the rules to disallow it? It used to be common practice on the X-Wing forums.
Interestingly these guys seem relatively good in campaign when compared to skirmish:
EDIT: As someone who doesn't play skirmish I'm just wildly speculating but could a full wookie list with Chewbacca and 3x these guys work by basically forcing your opponent to get all their VP from objectives?

I don't think they're as powerful as you are thinking, but you bring up some good points. Focused fire will still clear them. But, while they could possibly clear a trooper group alone, a trooper group could only clear one of the two of these.
They'll likely find a place in my Scum list in place of aTrandoshan. I have one
Also, does Adrenaline not seem amazing here?
can not wait to paint!
I think one way of playing a Wookiee list is to bank on their durability and high HP. Split groups of them up with deployment and then throughout the game keep 'rotating' them in and out of danger, preserving your points. They're really hard to kill and as they take more damage they become more powerful.
Your opponent is going to have to get tons of points from objectives - although the wookiee's speed of 4 and no reach means that objective points will be easier for your opponent to grab.
So how about:
Chewie (15)
Wookiee Warriors (8)
Wookiee Warriors (8)
Wookiee Warriors (8)
Debts Repaid
Adrenaline
Wookiee Rage
Wookiee Rage
Parting Blow
Wild Fury
Roar Pummel
Improvised Weapons
Celebration
Take Initiative
Urgency
Fleet Footed
Devotion
Rally
Chewie's card is awesome, and you can search for it with Devotion. EDIT: I don't have a droid for this card, swap it out for some other 0 point card I suppose.
Wookiee Rage allows your whole list to deal uncounterable damage, fitting the theme of getting more powerful as they take more damage, and allowing an attack and a mini-attack in the right situations. Roar has similar functionality - but being able to move into a space and then stun 3 adjacents is crazy! Adrenaline can be played in round 4 or later if it gets to that, giving all of your wookiees a huge boost at a crucial time; holding onto tons of points if it goes well.
Rally, Celebration and Take Initiative are obvious staples.
Fleet Footed and Urgency give you much needed speed.
Edited by jonboyjon1990They are pretty slow indeed. I think their usefulness depends on the maps, that are currently legal in tournaments. Small maps make them great, big maps make them awful.
I don't really like any of the cards in this pack, except for the regular deployment card.

No it would not. Ffg doesn't care if you post their official pictures
Devotion has the keyword "Droid".

Yeah - whoops
an alternative list is:
Gaarkhan
WW
WW
WW
R2
3PO
Gideon
Or Gaarkhan for another WW group
I could see this list being good:
15 - Chewie
8 - Wookiees
8 - Garkhaan (Or another WW)
3 - Gideon
3 - R2-D2 (Or Mak if you need range more than cards)
2 - C3-P0
1 - Balance of the Force
Gideon gives you the movements when you just need to get a tad bit closer.
Garkhaan gives you the extra range with his charge when you really just need to get to the enemy. I'd argue he's even better than the WW when he's focused, which he can do for himself or through the help of Gideon.
Chewie keeps the Wookiee command card theme, but also gives you a big ranged threat which makes this list more difficult to kite away from.
My main concern with a Chewie/Garkhaan/WW/WW/WW build is that you have way too many melee only characters. While they are strong melee characters, even stormtroopers can fire two spaces, retreat 4, and NEVER be in range for an attack. A command card that allows all wookies to gain 2 movement points at the start of the round would be killer, but only having close the gap, the wookiees would have a hard run.
Gaarkhan + 4 x Wookies =
My main concern is that the Wookies and the Hired Guns look so good that I'm not going to be content with just one set of each.
Sure, I didn't need that $20 at all....
