DIABLO - the board game or RPG

Now, looking tough the net I found myself o Diablo 3 site and then I got a brilliant idea. Why FFG would not do a Diablo board game? They have the rights to Starcraft and Warcraft so why not Diablo? This would be a bestseller. There are many fans of board games and the Diablo title.

This should be something big like a crossover of Descent and Middle-earth Quest with elements from a RPG games. So You would have Exp points and so on. A game from 2 to 5 or 6 players. With a amazing huge map, minis, tokens and all the great extra stuff. With lots of fluff and more. Now I think this would be a huge sucess. And one of the best titles in FFG library.

Or they could do a RPG game or bettes bought.

You've probably missed this; http://www.fantasyflightgames.com/edge_foros_discusion.asp?efid=116&efcid=28&efidt=135694

I just knew one day another likeminded person would show up ... I just don't think a this "big game" model would be the best idea ... FF already has its fair share of dungeoneering/adventure titles. Maybe a cross between a card game and a RPG, kind of what the Middle Earth CCG was all about; a questing card game with a strong RPG element, played on a map. I just fear the Diablo target crowd might be more into hack&slash and less into lenghty, story driven quests (and I would love to see a Diablo themed card game, where each expansion came with an absolute ton of written background/story material, kind of like the L5R). :)

when you get right down to it, it probably won't be too different from WoW TGB, which was (except for theme and group-play element) pretty much how a Diablo board game would look like.

To Lucas Blackwood - yes I haven't saw that early post.
