I currently only own the IA core set. I would like to make another purchase but am undecided on what to get. I prefer the campaign, but also enjoy skirmish. I am currently not far along in the campaign, so I could not get to Twin Shadows' campaign anytime soon. So while at some point I would like to have Twin Shadws for the campaign, anything I purchase now is mainly for skirmish (although i could use the heavy stormtroopers and tuskens as open groups). What do you recomend?

Twin Shadows is a mini campaign OR adds side missions to a new campaign. Ally/Villian packs also add side missions (allies) or Agendas (villians) and maybe some corresponding rewards for campaign. If you have already started a campaign you would have to restart to integrate the new parts in, or finish quickly to start another campaign to play with the new Twin Shadows stuff.

As far as skirmish goes Twin shadows offers a new map and some new grunt units. If you run an Imperial trooper squad you'll like the heavy troopers, and if you run scum you'll like the sand people. TS also has a few skirmish cards but nothing fancy. The ally/villian packs give you some amazing cards that correspond to the character. Again if you run an imperial trooper squad Kane Somos is an amazing trooper/leader with great synergy with troopers. Boba is just flat out amazing for scum since the scum list is so thin right now (and mainly used to bolster imperial squads). I'm not gonna lie Boba and the sand people make mono scum more likely to be run now, and more fun to run as well. His skirmish abilities may not synergize as well as Somos, but he might be the 2nd most powerful skirmish character next to Vader.

Honestly I hope you get both, but if you are going one way or the other I hope this helps make your decision. Follow up and let us know what you decide!

If you care about campaign more, then buy Twin Shadows. If you care about skirmish more, then get ally/villian packs. If it's 50/50, then get Twin Shadows.

As another said, the packs also add side missions. So after doing campaign a couple of times, I thought this was worth it.

I think Twin Shadows is way worth it.

The mini campaign allows for a fun campaign adventure to be completed in 1-2 nights.

You can also add new character options for your next campaign and new side mission options.

Adding new heroes is really a way to add new life to the campaign after a few play throughs.

On the surface Biv looks real cool. Instead of his class deck being 100% new skills, he can actually buy some special equipment with his XP within his class deck. I haven't really looked to see if the stuff is good, but one thing nice (if you spend the XP on Biv's stuff) is that it saves credits for other heroes.

If you're just playing Campaign, it really doesn't matter. If you're playing Skirmish, which army do you play? All three packs are worthwhile for both game types, it's entirely up to personal preference!
