Linking Imperial Assault, X-Wing, Armada

I have seen a few posts about long running campaigns linking the three games together but I am looking for more of a single session experience where all our players come together in multiple simultaneous games.

My initial thoughts are simple, rebels look to take a planet from the imperials.

Armada space battle ensues and the objective is for rebels to get as many transports (a supply of 10?) off the furthest board edge as possible. These would come in groups of 2.

Once rebels successfully get a transport off the board it appears within the X-Wing low altitude battle which is going on above the planet.

Again the aim is to protect the transport(s). In the event a transport is destroyed by imperials in Armada it bolsters the Imperial might and both the X-Wing and Imperial assault games gain reserve troops. If the transport is destroyed in the X-Wing game, just the Imperial Assault imperials gain reserve troops.

Once a rebel transport lands safely it gives the rebels access to reserve troops. Each time a rebel transport lands it also activates a console on the Imperial Assault map which needs to be interacted with by the rebels to obtain crucial intel and disrupt communications, each time the rebels achieve this (only 1 is available to start) it affects the Imperial Navy who have to sacrifice one round of activation on their largest ship.

Other than that I'm thinking of keeping the rules pretty much standard and am going to be looking at balancing this out over the next couple of weeks.

Any help or suggestions with balancing or ideas would be much appreciated.

I was thinking of putting together a Battle of Endor "day campaign", which would be something like Armada (initial engagement) followed by Imperial Assault (battle around the shield generator) followed by X-Wing (trench run led by Lando in the Falcon). In general I think it's best to keep these things as simple as possible, so the winner of each game would probably just gain a small advantage in the next.

Regarding your suggestion, I would recommend chaining them together rather than trying to play them simultaneously, which I reckon might be a bit tough to organise. It would also leave everyone waiting for the current round to end, which could get irritating. Otherwise a nice sounding idea for a day campaign kind of thing!

So the idea behind this was I have 12 players :) some interested more so with x-wing/armada/imperial assault, so it would genuinely be some cockup by an imperial commander which causes things to go south on other boards, or taking out a transport which starves the land based rebels of the supplies they need. It doesn't need to be balanced to the nth degree just not broken, oh and fun, I forgot that word... FUN.

We're cooking up a short 4 mission campaign that incorporates all games. We need to wait for wave 2 of Armada to be out though. Whenever it's finished we'll definitely be letting you all know.

I've been thinking the same thing, except I would put the imperial assault game first.

Play an IA game to destroy the shield generator...

How long that takes determines how long the rebel fleet has to hold out in an armada game before they can send fighters into the DS

Once the shield is destroyed, the armada commander has so many rounds to send fighters into the DS, the number of squadrons that make it determines the number of ships the rebel player gets in an x-wing game on a maze like board representing the interior of the DS. Obviously, they need to get to the reactor and blow it up to win the campaign.
