Will Obi-Wan ever arrive?

By Nikolishin, in X-Wing

I think he'll be a 2 crew slot card whatever his power is.

I do like the idea that he'll be discarded to prevent an attack on a ship. I thought that too as soon as I started reading this thread.

So we can only take him on a YT-1300? No thanks. If he were though, he'd have to be good enough to beat out 3p0 and gunner

True. I was thinking there was more than 1 ship with 2 crew slots.

Vader and the Emperor are also dead.

What?! Who is spreading this false propaganda?

There is also the Tantive IV and the GR-75 and soon the VCX-100.

No. He's dead.

So is Biggs, Porkins, Backstabber, Dark Curse, Mauler Mithel...

But all those pilots fought in major Civil War conflicts. Obi-wan did not. I feel that Obi-wan's effect in the battle of Yavin can be seen in Luke's pilot card and in the EPT Deadeye.

Remember tell the lie often enough it becomes the truth.

A wizard is never late.

Obi wan: ships carrying Kenobi may only attack with lightsabers anything else is uncivilized.

Uhhh.. Did Palpatine also fight in these space conflicts? Didn't think so. At least kenobi was seen multiple times both piloting a ship and being a crew member within the movies.

He wasn't an actual crew member. Others like Chewie, Lando, Nien Numb, and even the droids are actually skilled in operating, commanding, or repairing ships. He was only ever a passenger, realistically.

He also hates flying.

Your clearly confused you see there are only three star wars movies, and in those all he did was dismember a bar patron and deactivate a shield before justice caught up with him.

Get over it man. It's been 15 years.

Acceptance is the first step.

C3-PO was a passenger. Kyle Katarn is known for his ground combat and not flying. FFG is clearly interested in using popular characters regardless of their time on ships.

EDIT: FFG looks outside the original trilogy for inspiration. If we're only basing Obi-wan's abilities on what he does during the original trilogy, then by that reasoning, we should also throw out all the characters and ships from the EU.

Yes he did... He did exactly what his card does in ROTJ.

I don't remember any green or red dice being rolled in the movies (Watto notwithstanding).

Get over it man. It's been 15 years.

Which is why I'll never get out of my chair, I suppose people that lose relatives should just get over it.

Some wounds never heal properly and your insensitivity to the suffering of millions shocks me.

Even if you're trying to joke, equating some movies you didn't care for to losing relatives is pathetic.

Obi Wan

X-Wing, Red Five title.

Luke Skywalker Only: you do not need to spend tokens to perform secondary weapon attacks.

Luke Skywalker never gets any action, this might help.

Those movies killed star wars for me for a decade, I mourned what they took from me and couldn't even watch the OT or play older games because the bad taste took away any enjoyment.

So no I won't just get over it, a large part of my childhood was desecrated.

There's nothing funny about those movies not even the bits that were meant to be jokes.

Well that explains a lot about your overall personality and attitude as a whole on these forums...

Obi Wan Kenobi should be a double sided card. With Ben on one side, and the Ghost of Obi-Wan on the other side.

Obi Wan Kenobi (FRONT SIDE)

Crew : Cost 5

When this ship is hit by an uncancelled crit, flip this card over.

Ghost of Obi-Wan (BACK SIDE)

Crew: Cost --

This card can only be used by means of a flip.

At the start of each combat phase assign two focus tokens to this ship.

Yeah but no one cares that those guys died. :)

Luke is a weird dude who really needed a father figure in his life. Glad he got over that or at least made his father into what he needed. Man, his arc is very, very weird. Is the moral of Star Wars that if your Dad is a jerk, you should fix him?

Edit: adding a smiley face to demonstrate sarcasm.

There was an awesome video a fan made that applied X-wing miniatures maneuvers and dice results to the Falcon vs. TIE fighters fight in A New Hope. I just can't find it...

Obi-Wan Kenobi

Crew, 2 pts

Discard this crew card to make him more powerful than you can possibly imagine
