If the "standard critical effect" were to be given name what would it be?

By DWRR, in Star Wars: Armada

After having to explain for the 6000th time that the standard critical effect is a critical effect but not all critical effects are the standard critical effect I feel like FFG could have given it a better name that the standard critical effect.

I realise this is a fools errand as the rules cannot be changed.

I like the sound of "Punishing Hit" or "Secondary Damage" maybe "Devastating Attack".

I like to dream of a world where the critical hit rules were just a little less shrouded in the mists...

:P :D ^_^

I'm off to jab buttons on Fab's fleet builder in the hope than I find an as yet undiscovered fleet of awesomeness from the 5 ships available....

Critical Hit ? :P

I think some adjective qualifying the Hit, follow by hit is the simplest way to identify what you're talking about.

A critical hit result on the dice, producing a critical effect called a critical attack...

Double whammy

I get the idea that there isn't a name because they couldn't come up with one either. If there was anything better it would have been in the rulebook.

"That die got extra pew on it."

People I played with would say "Ok, 3 hits and 2 crits," when talking about resolving damage.

Now I just say "Critical 5."

5 damage, with a critial effect. When resolving damage, it doesn't matter if I had 5 critical faces or 1 critical face and 4 hits.

Secondary Explosions.

OK...so I rolled 3 eggs (hits) and 2 sausages (crits).........when Dodonnas' around, ya get dealt " the big sausage "....coffee with that? :D

Lucky Shot.

Strategic Weakness.

"That was One in a Million!"

Bigger than a Womp Rat.

Standard Critical Effect. Or maybe "The Dodonna."
