Blount's ability and Munitions Failsafe

If Blount attacks with missiles and misses( let's say assault missiles) and he has munitions failsafe mod. He still gets the effect of assault missiles but can he hang on to his missile using MF until he actually hits?

No, Munitions Failsafe does nothing for Blount. Blount always hits. MF only triggers if you don't hit.

Munitions Failsafe is completely redundant on Blount.

Munitions failsafe allows you to keep your weapon if you do not hit.

Since Blount always hits - even if he does not do damage, this card will not work.

Advanced Homing Missles, Assault Missle, and Ion Pulse Missles are good to use because the after-effects come into play regardless of your dice.

Don't forget the Tracers!
Not so sure I am hooked on tracers yet. Seems like a one shot deal for no damage versus a guaranteed damage and ion effect.

One shot for no damage from the shooter, but increased damage for the rest of the fleet. And it doesn't hurt your individual action economy, as it replaces the TL required to shoot it.

Blount with Tracers and VI, flanked by 5x Bandits with Concussion Missiles, = Expectation of 18.4 damage vs. a single target, awaiting mitigation.

They only have 5 attacks against which to salvage their mitigation. That kills Fat Han even if he jumps arc on one of them!
