What's up with the Mon Cal ship at Sullust?

Every MC80 is different. They're all special and unique in their own way and deserve equal treatment and respect. And certainly none of them deserve being called "fat". They're just differently scaled.

My MC80 is longer than yours :D

It's not the size that counts, it's how you use it.

Idk, I wouldn't put a CR90 up against a Super Star Destroyer in any situation.

Why? by "LucaLogic2 ™ a single A-Wing is enough.

I'll pick the winged MC80 any day over those large oversized floating phallic looking toys

Cool! Lets have a race.

OK -- 3 ... 2 ... 1 ... GO!!! CR90 pulls quickly out in front, right into the VSD's front arc, and using its optimized sensors, wonders why the VSD laser batteries are all charged and about to fire ......

The Liberty subclass was the most numerous, and the namesake of which was the 1st victim of the Deathstar 2 at Endor. So any of you with fond memories of X-wing: Alliance the video game, all those characters are now dead. Congrats!

I was having a really good day until I read this ...

Alliance was my first pvp video game on MSN Gaming Zone ... I was part of a squadron and everything ... my callsign was "Mirax" lol.

I would totally buy a line of "variants ships" consisting of MC-80 Liberties, CR-92 Assassin corvettes, and the like, but I'm afraid we'll have to settle for picking some stuff up off of shapeways.

Why on earth do you say that? I feel almost certain we'll get a Liberty class, and hopefully (though perhaps it's a little less likely) a few more, such as...

The fist one on there. Love that thing.

Mainly because FFG doesn't like to make ships just to "look different". Going from how they've done X-wing, every ship has a specific role to fill, and they seem to shy away from a lot of overlap in the game design. Also, we have flame threads where people are crying about having to "buy" extra cards, so what do you think will happen if FFG announces variant ships that are functionally the same? We'll have to call the US Army Corp of Engineers to reinforce the levees to save us from all the waterworks. "THEY'RE JUST LIKE GW!!!" -cue salty puddles of tears-

Don't get me wrong, I'd love to have a Liberty class next to an Home One. I'm just doubtful it'll happen.

Also thats the Mon Remonda (MC80B), Home One, Liberty, and a heavily modified Providence class Clone Wars era carrier/destroyer.

True, but that was a lot more possible in X-Wing, while still including all the classic ships. I'm sure they'll try to come up with something to differentiate the Liberty class, etc, but I'd be very surprised if they forgo iconic ships like that for the sake of differentiation.
