Do we already have Scum Epic ships?

By Talonbane Cobra, in X-Wing

While sitting here struggling to make a bounty hunter list for regular play it occurs to me that really with all the large expensive ships available to S&V (And with more coming) isn't the faction already wonderfully suited for epic play?

I'm talking all 4 IG-88's, Boosk, Boba Fett, Dengar, a squad of Mandalorian Merc.

Does Scum really need Huge ships or do you think Scum Epic play is all about the Large?

You could have made almost exactly the same argument for the Empire prior to the Raider's announcement.

I suppose so, my main thinking is really in the Aggressor. 4 Ig-2000's stack right? and that's been with us since the start of scum, it seems like something designed to give Scum Epic options.

Imperial had .. what Firespray, Decimator and Lambda?

I don't know if I would say that was beautifully suited to Epic, Decimators maybe, but I feel like theme wise Scum having all the bounty hunters for Epic is just better suited, and Imperial Huge ships are quite iconic in Star Wars (even if they are too big for x-wing)

I am waiting for Jabba´s Space Cruiser (Star Jewel) with Jabba Crew card. Of course, such as Palpatine, occupying two crew slots (because of his fatness and not because of bodyguards and a giant chair made of Jedi skulls)

Having played 4x IG2000 in Epic vs the Raider, it never really had a chance, and the remaining 110 points or so beyond the IG's never mattered.

Quad IG-88 is Scum epic. Anyone who claims otherwise is trying to sell you something. :D

(Actually, 4x IG-88 and a trio of TLT Y-wings for Soontir-swatting is... terrifying. You could slip in Bossk or a Bounty Hunter or something instead if you like, but you want to avoid cluttering the board - IG-88s need room. So much room.)

Scum is definitely the most thematically suited to a mob of freighters and hyperdrive equipped StarVipers banding together in an uneasy alliance. The Empire thematically did need the Raider or another lumbering collosus.

The Imperial Firespray got left behind in the dust by the scum version, and I suspect all the TLTs and stuff comming out these days will make the Decimator a rare sight. Good Ol Lamba, you will always be there!

I mean, there's what, Vader, Soontir, and Boba?

Scum can run all of the named bounty hunters in their personal ships.

The difference I think is who ever heard of a 60pt Lambda?

The Empire has three large based ships (Firespray, Lambda, Decimator), as of Wave 8 on par with the Rebel's three (Falcon, Outrider, Ghost). Of those, only the Decimator tends towards over 50pts. The Lambda lives in the TIE advanced's cost ballpark and the Imperial Firespray isn't exactly famed for quality unique pilots.

Scum, however? Their Firesprays can get hugely expensive and still work well, 100pt viable Aggressors are around 50 points and Bossk's Hound's Tooth has the single largest upgrade bar in the game (given Punishers and K-wings lack titles). Wave 8 brings Zuckuss, 4-LOM and Dengar, who's ship comes with the most expensive upgrade in the game.

If anything, the Decimator'll be the least worried about TLT. It's just an Accuracy Corrector against it, but without the crits.
