I am trying to decide if I am willing to try for one of the release night secret wave at my local target. Anyone else planning to go to one? Anyone else been before? How bad do you think it will be?

Likely just waiting for the online release to order it with my Wave 7 stuff. Gotta get dat free shipping.

I'm going! The new core set I'm obviously getting. Curious to see if there are the 2 "supposed" blister expansions also. But most importantly, the Black Series TIE Fighter will be mine!

Also, its on a Friday. I don't really feel like getting up at 2300 Thursday, going to Target, buying a core set, going back to sleep until 0730 Friday, then going to work. Doesn't seem worth it to get an X-wing and TIE fighter with built-in sheild upgrades.

Thursday is X-Wing night at my FLGS and we've asked if they will stay open till midnight so we could purchase any X-Wing material for episode 7. They said they'd think about doing it.

I plan to head to Target around 10 or 10:30. Unless I recognize 10+ x wing players in line ahead of me I'll stay through.

I have school that morning and need to pick up an order from an LGS later that afternoon. So the solution is clearly to cram it in at noon.

it will be like camping, so no big deal. I am going to wait, because I am in it for life so getting goodies on the day they release is not as important to me. I will have more of each ship than most people... i can wait.

A core set brand new for $50 BOOM NOW... or just wait a few weeks until MM or CS have them in and then buy three core sets for less than $100.

CSI and MM help us justify spending more than we would normally want to at a time because $100 minimum gets you free shipping.

Sounds like someone needs to give demos and start a X-Wing Facebook for their town.

Nah, I just live in a very rural suburb and no joke, every place that hosts tourneys and such is 45 minutes in any of the 4 cardinal directions from me. There's not really a location nearby I would be comfortable doing a demo at, I'm just stuck making a bit of a drive every time I want to play in tourneys.

I'll be there to pick up 1 copy of whatever's available for X-wing, and then I'll get a second set when I can get them at a discount. Pretty much the same approach I used at GenCon, come to think of it.

I'll head over Toys'R'Us after X-Wing night at the LGS. But I'm not planning on buying anything. Even if they had X-Wing, I'd wait for it to be available at my local game store so I can support them. Mainly I'm just going so I have an excuse to wear my Jedi costume and geek out in a Star Wars aisle at midnight.

Local Target is not playing so NO... Not that i would have even if they were participating.. local walmrt says they are but i am guessing its just Toys... would be nice if they actully said what they would be releasing!! and where!!
