Doubtless there will be an official article covering stuff. I think it's odd they'd be keeping it this quiet, considering Hasbro's entire catalogue is out for anyone's perusal.

Kick off is officially 12:01 AM Sept 4 at Target locally! There was a sales flyer delivered yesterday with coupons and the announcement. Seems theres more on Sat too!
I suggest showing up earlier on Thurs night to chat it up!
Basically, as soon as FFG posts an announcement article. Which will likely be Friday morning.
I do kinda wonder though. Should they have kept an article or two discussing wave 8 in their pocket that they could have released last week when the pictures broke to give us something else to talk about.

So my local target isn't doing the force Friday midnight thing and the closest one is about an hour or more away in a ghetto area so I'll be skipping it. However anyone know if other targets will have it? Like if i show up to my local one in the morning that didn't participate will they have them as well?
Most likely Thursday during the 18 hour live merchandise reveal is when the gag will be removed.

Hmmm...I keep reading where Target stocks the game. In my area, no such luck. I don't know why they wouldn't stock it across the board, so to speak.

I went to both of my local target stores today, not only did I find they didn't have anything for X wing, but they had almost nothing for star wars at all. Plus, no room for the apparent incoming stuff. I called about 5 other local stores trying to find one that carries anything for this game, and oddly enough the only place that did was Barnes N Nobles!
There are some things best not ever being mentioned.

If it's anything like my Target, they put the remainder of their Star Wars merch on clearance. Trying to make room for all the inevitable new merch.
Target dropped the XWing game a few years ago and clearanced all their old stock. Thats when I got into it! They havent carried it since! I've mentioned before that I am reasonably confidant that the distributors will be able to talk about and sell to the LGSs on Thursday or Friday. So, assuming stock levels are not an issue, that would mean that the LGSs should have them next week sometime.
Like you, I would like to support my local stores. I'm willing to wait a week or two to do that. What I am afraid of is that the hype surrounding the new movie will cause a run on the inventory and the first printing will sell out before the LGSs can get their share.
