I usually take high quality pictures and i`m struggling to get them smaller than 900kb.

What format is crappy enough so that I can upload pictures from matches?

Go to an external host, such as imgur. That would make it much easier for you.

Try resizing them at a much smaller resolution. Figure out how much resolution you have and don't bother with wasted pixels.

I know I have a nice DSLR with an 18MP sensor and the full sized files are huge. Jpeg aren't always a lot smaller but 8MB files are common yet very hard to upload. I'll often run them down to 1800 pixels on the long end (my computer is only set at 1920x1080) which generally gets the files small enough to send easily.
