to use feedback array do i need have a vallid attack ? for instance : i havent anyship on my fire arc , so i cannot do any attack but i have a ship at range one ( but outside my fire arc) so could i or not use feedback array ?

Yes you can since it dosn't require you having an attack it just makes it so you cant attack if you use it. Feedback Array is wired in the sense that even when you can not normaly attack for example by touching a ship, overlapping a asteriode or have blinded pilot damage card assigned to your ship you can still use it. In the FAQ it states "Using Feedback Array dose not count as an attack, and can be used against ships you are touching, while you are on a asteroid, and while you have the blinded pilot damage card assigned to your ship." (X-wing FAQ page 12).

This is not quite correct (I believe your FAQ is a little out of date, Patrik). While you may use Feedback Array against ships you are touching or while you have a Blinded Pilot damage card, you may no longer use it while on an asteroid per the latest FAQ.
