YT test flights

So I was very excited when my YT-2400 arrived. Not long after I got my YT-1300.

On Tuesday I get a chance to bring them to battle. Nothing fancy. Opposition is five Ties.

These are my ships:

YT-1300: · Han Solo (46)

Expose costs an action.

Chewbacca absorbs 2 damage and doesn`t cost anything, but C3P0 will give you more than 2 hitpoints over the course of a game.

Especially if you have some skills at positioning and effectively move between range 1 and 3 and use asteroids for cover.

Understanding the statistics is in my mind key- if you do. C3PO will serve you well.

Alot of people enjoy either gunner or luke. Personally i don`t. I do understand it though and Luke is way too expensive.

Your Han build is muddled.

Switch expose for predator

Switch cluster missile for concussion or Homing missile

Add C3PO and dump the recon spec

Change Luke for Gunner

I`d go for engine upgrade instead of shield upgrade. Being able to boost out of ARC is worth more than a single shield HP.

I have the YT-2400, but I never use it. Just doesn`t seem competitive. I might be wrong of course, so you I`m not going to give any advice in that regard

Hopefully I can give you advice on the YT-2400 after a few games.

I will proceed to make your suggested changes to the Falcon. Thanks for the advice

When attacking, you may reroll all of your dice. If you choose to do so, you must reroll as many of your dice as possible.

I fly this with a heavily upgraded A-Wing piloted by Jake Farrell

The following would be a conventional build:

Then you add a couple of cheap support ships.

Regarding your YT-2400.

When you`re using the HLC + Outrider, you really don`t need missiles.

You alredy have 4x dice secondary weapon with 360 arc

No need for missile.. BUT

If anything, this is where you could use the expose.

Maybe Expose + Experimental interface. Would give you 5 attack dice at every range.

I`ve never used the YT-2400 though, so take my comments with a grain of salt

Expose affects primary attacks only. You can't use it on an HLC, missile or any other secondary weapon.

Generally speaking, Expose is a terrible card and should never be used. The ONLY corner case (and I wouldn't say its great, but still, it can be used) on a decimator with Experimental Interface.

I've caught a lot of flack for this, but I prefer the mangler cannon for the YT 2400. It gets rid of the doughnut hole and changes a regular hit to a crit.

Well sure, but it doesn't throw enough dice to get through 3 agility + autothrusters + defensive token. It might deal damage sometimes, but not reliably. For that reason, the HLC is better, unless you can take stuff elsewhere in your list that completely murders high agility ships...

On the YT-2400, for 54 points I've been running;

*Dash

*Outrider

HLC

*Kyle Katarn

Kyle eats stress and spits out Focus, this has been giving me a BR and TL every turn to position and smite my targets with a TL & Focus attack at 4 Reds. Been working well so far....

Repeat:

Expose sux. Expose sux. (Even on Decimator its just meh but at least viable there).

Seriously loosing that 1 green is not worth it. Especially on han that needs to be tanky as hell. Anount of damage you can mitigate with title and c3po is just sick.

Get rid of those warheads. Turrets dont need them at all, you dont want to limit yourself to an arc.

If you want to fly 2xYT my proposition you need to choose one of them to be "super" and one to just squezee as much as you can.

So either fathan and pretty generic 2400 or SuperDash and ORS or chewie.

Nope. Outrider title: 'when you have a [cannon] equipped, you cannot perform primary weapon attacks and you may perform [cannon] secondary weapon attacks against ships outside your firing arc.

Expose: 'Action: increase your primary weapon value by 1 and decrease your agility value by 1.'

There is absolutely no interaction here...

As mentioned earlier, you can use it with experimental interface on a decimator (and even gunner). I personally don't feel its that great, but it at least works there. Its possible there will be future cards that could make it useful, but the basic idea of taking an action for +1 red die (and losing 1 green die) is generally not a good trade, especially when you consider focus or target lock gets you about the same (if not better) damage and doesn't reduce your agility in the process.

I'm on the Mangler side, Dash is a crazy good blocker and Mangler helps a lot vs Decimators staying at R3 and spending F on deffense. To me, by far, the easiest way to kill Soontir is taking away tokens and Mangler Dash is an effective way to do it. Corran double tap near by also helps...
