So, does Rhymer himself also attack at that range? Or just squadrons within range 1?

Also, he allows squadrons to basically shoot at black and blue range, right? That is what short-medium means?

Rhymer says "friendly". In Armada "friendly" means that all units in that range gets the ability including itself.

Howlrunner says "other friendly" which means all other friendly units not including that model

That is correct, but only when firing at ships. It does not work for anti-squadron fire.
