Jonas clenches his teeth at the pain as, despite his best efforts, a couple of strikes do get through. Seeing as how there really is no other option and they will be overwhelmed if the tide is not turned soon, he finally draws his lightsaber, reaching behind him and taking the relatively simple hilt from where he keeps it fastened across his belt in the small of his back. The feeling of its familiar leather binding on his palm, the sight and sound of the blue energy blade igniting again after so many years, these things serve to reassure him and calm him down as he brings to mind his Master's training.
A practitioner of Shii-Cho, not only is he trained to take on more than one opponent, but he has also learnt to fight by allowing the Force to guide him as much as needed, perhaps more than how it is with the other Forms. And that is what he does now. His first strike is a basic one as the elegant weapon slashes forward, a horizontal arc of light following in the blade's wake. It does catch his enemies by surprise, unnerving them more than a little -perhaps just enough to give his companions an opening to strike- as he is the first in the group to use the lightsaber offensively. The blade cuts and burns through the bulky creatures, allowing Jonas some breathing room.
"Shall we then?" There is a hint of bravado in his tone. 'I do hope I am not too rusty,' he thinks to himself however.
Wounds 4/17; Strain 0/13; Defense Melee 0, Ranged 0; Soak 4
Abilities: Multiple Opponents, Parry 2
Effects: Sense (Control - Upgrade Difficulty)
Mind if I use Firan's Advantage to add a Boost die to Jonas' attack? I will also flip a Destiny Point to upgrade the Lightsaber combat check.
Maneuver: Draw lightsaber.
Action: Attack Flesh Raiders (Group 1): 2eB+2eP+1eA+1eS+2eD 3 successes, 1 advantage
That makes for a total damage of 9 (6 + 3), I believe (do not forget the 1 strain the minion group suffered in the previous round). And I will use the Advantage to add a Boost die to the next character's skill check.
Sense (Control - Upgrade Difficulty) will go to the first attack each round as before. As for Parry, by all means, Parry away (should reduce damage by 4).
