Bossk + Gunner is Stupid!

Bossk doesn't Wonder Twins high five Wookiees after missing an attack so they can Hadouken the enemy again at max power, he skins their licey pelts and eats the rest.

Also, slave trading, so running three Kihraxz with it is incredibly insensitive.

Worst card synergy ever.

You are going to have to re read the rules again. You can only change a die once and HLC procs first. MCP is less then useless with an HLC.

Now I know you can only "re-roll" a die once, but changing a roll is different. True, my original example was flawed with using Predator, but the rest still stands (I think...).

No where in the rules does it state you can modify only once. You can however only reroll a dice once. HLC modifies the initial roll, anything like merc co pilot, TL, pred, etc can change the results to crits in what ever way they work after the initial roll. Also merc co pilot isn't limited so have at it.

You can modify a dice as many times as you are able. You are only not allowed to re-roll a dice multiple times. Ewok's example is quite legal.

Quick re-read of Bossk, only one crit can be changed to two damage. So the best you could do is four hits and a crit.

I believe the OP is talking about the bossk crew card which is awesome with gunner. I've been running latts or the slaver with Bossk + Gunner + Tactician lots and lots of fun.

MCP actually work with a HLC.

HLC state that you immediatly change your crits onto hit. MCP state that you may change a hit into a crit at range 3.

So, order of action:

-roll 4 dice and immediatly change all crit into regular hit

-use a TL or Predator or whatever to reroll any dice you want, now keeping the crit result

-use focus to change focus into hit (could technically be used before the TL but you should always use your Focus after rerolling any dice)

-use Mercenary Copilot to change a hit into a crit

-change a crit into 2 hit if you actually hit the target

You also messed up bit where you have Bossk converting crits to two hits more the once a round. If you got "hit,hit,crit,crit" with Bossk and your opponent was unable to cancel anything you'd end up dealing 4 hits and crit to your target.

Bossk works alongside a wookie bounty hunter in the Darth Vader comic for a while.

Not every wookie is a paragon of virtue.

Bossk crew's good with Gunner, but it's a major dial limiter. Remember that if you're already stressed Bossk doesn't fire (no way would it be two points if you could pull a Tycho with it).

Incorrect, Bossk crew works if you're already stressed.

The ability is split like this:

"After you perform an attack that does not hit, [if you are not stressed, you must receive 1 stress token.] Then assign 1 focus token to your ship and acquire a target lock on the defender."

The stress section is simply a check to make absolutely sure you have a stress token before you get the focus+TL.
