Nicely done. Mad props here.

kewl.

Thx for the words. Was surprisingly easier than I had thought it would be (thx to XV88 Citadel base, some wash and a steady hand)

Aww ... cute lil' puppy.

I may have to do the same thing!

Final result. Might do minor touch ups later

I'm working on mine.

I've embedded a peg in the back of the YV666 so the Pup can ride along on the Hound's Tooth facing aft.

I was thinking about that but then how would the pilto get to the cockpit like that? I'm not sure where the ship is meant to be hiding in V-666.

Hi I think it looks really good. I hope you will allow me to give some constructive feedback though.

The black guns on the s-foils look off to me, I don't think it's a skill thing just that it looks like you've gone with black paint and that makes it look a bit flat and textureless.

If I want something black I normally paint it dark grey and then apply layers of black wash. What that does is shade the recesses darker and brings all the colour towards black but keeps the texture feel.

For all I know you may be an ace artist or something, and my comment is from only my ammature experience.

Keep up the good work!

Ha ha, no worries. I am no ace, and your point is valid. It can't really be seen on the photo but it isn't totally black, the flash sort of obscures the gunmetal drybrushing. But I agree that it looks "off" compared to the rest of the repaint and I'll likely try your method/tip.

Cheers

Final result.

Did a little more red details behind the cockpit and on the front of the wings, and added a bit of rust on the rear.

Enjoy!!

The last Nuln Oil wash is still wet

Nice Like the picture where you have the model flying out of the card.

Had some more fun with the models and my Foldio chromakey app.

Oh that is really some gorgeous work there. It looks just like the card!

Did you leave the canopy untouched, or did you repaint that whole part?

Thanks for the ideas! I think I'll attempt to paint my lil' Nashtah Pup model as well.

This is how mine turned out.

FFG must be doing a roaring trade on Z95 Headhunters.

I did a N'dru repaint, and am going to do another one (I decided I didn't like it with metallic paints, tried stripping the model and accidentally melted it). I also want to paint a Pup and Leechos as well.

Scum & Villany are definitely the hobbyist's faction!

A destroyed Z95 debris marker for the hobbyist :)

What did you use? I have tried acetone-free nail polish remover. (ethanole is not enough) It works fine when using small quantities and a Q-tip. Just do not apply too much pressure and absolutely do not leave any fluid on the model for too long.

Honestly can't remember, something I'd seen on the old modelling/repaints forum anyway. N'dru got dunked in it overnight, and his gun barrels turned to limp spaghetti.

The models don't need stripping anway, really - it was entirely my own fault for using metallics, which simply don't look right on the small base ships and are probably too thick to use effectively.

I find a thinned down base of GW's foundation paints (or whatever the current equivalent is) is enough to provide coverage on an existing paint job without obscuring detail, then a thinned down colour, wash and detailing.
