The Force Awakens Star Destroyer has a Name

By Imperial Advisor Arem Heshvaun, in Star Wars: Armada

The Imperial Star Destroyer from the trailer now has a name.

The ISD Finalizer.

I was hoping for The Grand Moff Tarkin.

Got to love how that article's title calls it a 'terrifying name'. Seriously? Not that I mind the name, it fits in well with all the other Star Destroyer names, but its about as terrifying a name as 'Equalizer' or 'Supersizer', i.e. not really terrifying at all.

What?

ISD Finalizer?

Terrible name.

Genuinely a truly terrible name. I hope the rest of the writing is better than that!

It sounds like a bad ass accountant. Not a warship.

This is not best SD I've ever seen but the name is really bad. I want my Allegiance SD or Bellator.

Wow you guys are hard to please

Wow you guys are hard to please

That cause when this name is compared to other SD names it falls short. Chimera, warlord, etc etc

Hell SD Rancor would of been nice

As said in the other thread discussing this exact same thing, I love the name and I love the design. :P

I would have preferred the Revenge For The Death of The Emperor Ship Thing

In keeping with the article about the first order is based on the idea of them admiring the empire and the "what if the nazis from argentina started working together"thing i think the name is badass...

And its sister ship the Totalizer ;)

I think the "Finalizer" is not the class name. Likely it is the ships name not the class.

Yup, pretty sure Finalizer is the ship name not the class name.

And Finalizer sounds silly yes, but it also sounds absolute and ominous. I think it fits in a world of death-stars, star-destroyers, sun-crushers etc.

Oh I stated up that particular ship when I was at West End Games for a ship in Dark Empire. It was supposed to be like a Executor/Super II Class The name stuck as it was in the comic but I do not think the stats made it to print, the Eclipse Class did.

LA pop speak is not in any way terrifying.... lame yes but never terrifying
