There will be an X-Wing league at Phoenix Comics, running for the month of September! This is intended to be a casual, rather than cutthroat, competition; there’s only match per week, points are given for attendance, and everybody will walk away with a prize.

Time & Place

The League starts on Sunday, September 5th, at 1:00 PM at Phoenix Games and Comics (located on Capitol Hill). Subsequent games will be held every remaining Sunday in September.

Prizes

Prizes will come out of the Summer Tournament Kit; every player will get an alternate-art recon specialist card, and the top eight players will each get one of the other eight prices (four dice bags, two bags of acryllic evade tokens, two alt-art Dash Rendar cards) with the top player chosing first, second-best player choosing second, etc. Top player also gets an R2-D2 medal!

Format

First things first: Because we’re only doing one match a week, games are untimed, so don’t worry about margin of victory or anything like that - it’s a fight to the death! Squads are typical 100-point squads.

Second: players can use a different squad every week, if they so wish. As such, no need to pre-register your squad or write it on a tournament sheet; just show it to your opponent so they can verify it’s legal.

Players will be randomly assigned to opponents. In the event of an odd number of players, one randomly-chosen player will receive a bye (counts as a win).

Points are as follows:

1 point for showing up!
2 points for winning a match

Prizes (see above) will be assigned based on total points at the end of the final league day (September 27th). In the event of a tie, players can opt to play another match, or just roll for it.
