I have a few questions to you guys about some of the stuff that I've been wondering about. This is going to be fairly specific so feel free to chime in with your thoughts and concerns.
1. Servitors - as a aquisition for a starting char. I know that they come with a +10 to a trade of your choice, but would opting for a greater quality such as good or best have any effect on this or maybe their starting hitpoints or armor. Infact I would like some clearifcation on the good, best quality as it applys to many things such as tools, or drugs, I mean something that is created with a better quality then the standard should have some sort of bonus.
2. Essential Ship components. - Is the + sp listed on some of the higer end components a typo. I mean it makes sense to me that you would have to pay for and not be paid for the better things.
3. Is not really a question, but more of an observation. We've all seen the class rank charts and how limited they are. My observation I would like to share is that the Elite advances system is going to play a much bigger role in RT then it ever did in our games of DH.
4. I am a huge fan of the Origins chart, but looking at the difference between a 5000 xp DH char, and a RT char what is striking is how each is about equal, and in some ways such as personal gear level a DH char is more powerful. Yes we all know that a DH char starts at a base stat level of 20 instead of 25, but barring the Universal weapon trainings a DH char is much more fleshed out skill, talent and gear wise. I'm going to assume that once a RT game starts for the first time the pcs will go thru on a shopping spree to gather all the suplimentary things that they would want, but it seems like there should have been a way to speed up the process. Where I look at my char sheet for a cleric I made, and He has many many more talents, and skills available to him even at 3300 xp. I think there should have been more stuff added to each origin. I understand that this is a game bigger then just a standard hack and slash, but nearly every DH char has access to quick draw and rapid reload right off the bat. Maybe I will in fact have to really use this Elite advance thing a lot.
