Good day everyone,
After the results of Nationals I am excited to try a YT-2400 build again. I was never a fan of the two ship builds, such as Dash + Corran, and when the ship originally came out I tried an unconventional 56 point Dash list with two Bs. It was nothing like Jeff's list, but was one that did not use the standard PTL + Kyle and Engine. I had some success with the versions I tried, but I never played it in a tournament setting and stuck to my 4-5 ship rebel builds the rest of the season with plans to focus more on Scum after that. Jeff has revitalized this ship for me by covering it's weaknesses in three huge ways and also made two of them an offensive threat (Lone Wolf and APL).
Fast forward to today where Wave 7 is released, I wanted to revisit the YT-2400 in one last tournament tonight before my local store picks up Wave 7 early next week. If they miraculously have Wave 7 tonight I also have a backup plan. What YT-2400 list would you play in a small tournament? On to the lists!
(56) Dash Rendar + Outrider Title + Heavy Laser Cannon + Lone Wolf + Anti-Pursuit Lasers + R2-D2 Crew
(28) Jake Farrell + Chardaan Refit + Veteran Instincts + Push the Limit + Autothrusters
(15) Prototype Pilot + Chardaan Refit
Total of 99 Points
OR
(52) Leebo + Outrider Title + Heavy Laser Cannon + Lone Wolf + Anti-Pursuit Lasers + Dash Crew
(33) Jake Farrell + Proton Rockets + Veteran Instincts + Push the Limit + Autothrusters
(15) Prototype Pilot + Chardaan Refit
Total of 100 Points
I played the latter list with Dash Crew twice last weekend in a casual setting and it was wildly successful. Using obstacles to obstruct the opponent and then not obstruct your own 4-dice HLC shots was brutal for my opponent. Jake's Proton Rocket was also a huge threat in each game. I also like that it is not something that people would normally expect and is rather thematic overall.
IF Wave 7 is in stock at my FLGS, My plan is 56 dash with 2x Rebel operatives and TLTs.
What list would you prefer and why?
