Okay, can anyone guide me a bit? I can't seem how to figure it out... I hit save, but only get a new window with a very detail-free version... Am I doing something wrong?

It looks like somethings not working correctly right now. Share/Save take you to the same place, but there's no links provided. The Print button still works, but I thought it used to have pics. At this point I think the print option is the easiest to read. You can submit an error e-mail to Fab using the contact link at the top of the page.

And of course, it has Armada with clear, generally one page army lists. It's about 30 USD for a lifetime use with continual updates. The price is a little steep if you ONLY play Armada but I am a huge dork - Armada isn't my only hobby.

I have been making PDF short lists using Chrome. I notice that it usually leaves off the QR code when I do though.

I've used Army Builder for FoW and that thing is seriously a piece of crap. Stay far far away from that. Nothing wrong with Fabs, especially since its free.

Battle Scribe is also a half decent medium but I don't use it for X-wing or Armada. It's fine for 40k where I know all the point values, stats and rules for the units, items and upgrades but Fabs (and Squadron Builder for X-wing) are great because they have all the stats and rules listed right there for you.

I can't speak for Flames of War. I've always had a good experience personally. But that's just with a few games.

I only "save" it into PDF. If I have to "reload" it, I just create the fleet again.

I use SWAFT and love it, ...except I can't find a way to persist builds, which almost kills it for me. I messaged the coder on BGG and haven't recieved a reply.
