How many times have you accidentally called the T-70 the T-80?

By Marinealver, in X-Wing

I'll admit, I am guilty of that crime numerous times.

So to help myself and others I have made a simple recognition chart.

This is the T-70

%D0%97%D0%B2%D0%B5%D0%B7%D0%B4%D0%BD%D1%

This is the Starfighter used in the movie that JJ Abrhams is final attempt to prove that Star Wars movies after the 80s can be great once again. Notice the split cylinder design of the engines vs the quad engines of older models this helps S-foils open and close easier.

This is the T-80

Notice that this is not a starfighter at all but a tank and is incapable of flying at all.

and just to make sure there is no more confusion this is the T-800 for those that may make the mistake

This is an evil battledroid dedicated to the eradication of all human life. Its expensive design means it never saw mass production among organizations that utilize such droids like the Trade Federation of the Techno-Union Bankers Guild. If you see this run!

Still the results is all the same

too offensive to show

The termination of the T-65! Obsolete model

Never.

Jesus.

If you aren't happy can you just go play another game already?

I hear Age of Sigmar is lovely this time of year.

Spoiler alert!

The galaxy is supposed to be dead and they all have to migrate to a different galaxy where they start building pyramids. BUt before they do that the Yuuzhan Vong will have to be released first. ;)

When you can remember YKL-37R you don't make mistakes like that.

Nope, but dang that's a nice picture of my favorite SW ship.

It appears the artist drew the wings wrong, though

Yeah that's not a T-70 it's a T-67

Hate to be that guy, but the wings in the T-70 don't match the actual ship, they double up like in a T-65 instead of being side-by-side, half-wings like on the T-70.

I never called the T-70 anything but it's actual designation. I also never misidentified concept art for the T-70 either. I guess they are all 'x-wing class' though. I suppose an Incom T-80 would be a further evolution of the overall design, or a completely different type of vehicle, seeing that the T-14 and T-16 air speeders looked nothing like the T-47 or T-65 despite having similar controls. I think the 'T' series was made for bush pilots on outer rim planets and featured easy to learn avionics, keeping as much commonality as possible.

I've had to report you for hate crimes, no one deserves age of sigmar it's a terrible game from a now terrible company.

Also you realise GW's in such a sorry state because people did just go and play another game if you'd rather we have a max exodus than people complaining I think you're the who needs to re-evaluate.

People who Arnt passionate about the game won't moan, when people stop expressing their opinions then the games in its deaththrows.

That said yes he's going over board with it but he's not alone in being worried about the t-65 being made obsolete.

He's gone massively overboard.

Some people are very fanatical in their love for Age of Sigmar. Imagine in x-wing if you had to yell "Press Z or R twice" every time you did a barrel roll to also gain a focus token.

You're T-65 is dead trolling is getting old. Also, the majority of T-65 pilots were pretty much dead wave 4 on....

At least you aren't calling it the T-16. Which is only good for bullseyeing wamprats.

There were Bestinian Skyhoppers in the rebel fleet at Sullust. I guess they had been custom fit for space duty, maybe an Incom produced kit for upgrading like they did with the Z-95. Bullseying mynocks is probably a bit tougher though, even if their wingspan is 2 meters.

Of course that's assuming one throw-away quote from the ROTJ novelization actually referenced the T-16 model.

What is this I don't even

the '65 will get some love, just like the tie/adv. did.

I trust FFG to not screw this up. they haven't in the past, there's no reason to assume they will now.

I don't know if the OP meant that as "panicking" or simply to troll - either way man.. just relax a bit and fly something else in the meantime.

you can still run in circles and scream that the sky is falling with wave8,9,10, etc.. ;-)

Is the t-80 the successor of the T-34?

If so, it REALLY let itself go

None times.

Ermmm...none.

Fickle, what the hell?!?!? No mention that the T-80 is a dirty turret? It's like I don't even know you anymore.

Only us Tank buff's make that mistake. I have also called it a t-72, not sure why. I guess all the times I used to play combat games that involved tanks, the T was the designation for the russian ones. T-34, t-72, t-80, etc.

My brain hears T and just thinks it's one of those listed above. :)

gah! I even didn't get the picture right, back to the drawing boards for new charts.

Yeah, I say 'stupid' a lot when I mean to say 'lame'.
