List of Rebellion Ships to bring into Armada

By X Wing Nut, in Star Wars: Armada

For those who loved playing the old 1998 Star Wars Game Rebellion and would like to see the ships from that game in Armada here is a pic of the ship stats from the game I put into a spread sheet and a conversion/guess I have made for the ships to help bring them to life. Its just some where to start and talk about and hope some of the best ships from the game will one day be on the tables

find pics of the lists here

Everything that isn't already in Armada.

The Transports can be objective ships.

I don't see the Dauntless class or Liberator class cruisers either.

What about the Interdictor class star destroyer? that is more iconic in the EU than the MC30C, and I dont see it on your list at all.

The Dauntless is a very large ship, larger than an ISD II thats why I left it out.

And I totally forgot the Liberator, because I NEVER encountered it in Rebellion. :D

The Interdictor is build upon the ISD hull and therefor is huge, but of limited battle use beyond its grav-generator which plays no role in Armada.

The Immobilizer 418 serves the same role and iconic status but in a much more reasonable size for its role.

Interdictor class star destroyer is large, however the gravity well geneorators could have a massive role in armada. (deflects missles to a certain range, cuts fighter movement to 1 in a certain range, adds obstruction in a bubble to ships firing through it. While armada does not have a hyperspace element, it can still do a ton in armada

Why do people claim the Interdictor Star Destroyer is iconic? The way I remember it the Immobilizer 418s were far, far more common in the lore.

While the Immobilizer 418 was what was used in the game E@W is made the name Interdictor famous, the IntSD was the one that made more appearances in the comics, and was mentioned more than the 418.

Yeah but everywhere other then the comics the Immobilizer 418 is more common.

Mark my words: FFG will make a gravity well equipped ship(s), and will add a new game mechanic to incorporate it into the game. It's in enough sources they draw from and hard to ignore.

The Dauntless class is 1200 meters, 3/4th of the size of an ISD-II

The only rebel ship bigger than an ISD in Rebellion is the Bulwark-class battlecruiser, which was the SSD equivalent in Rebellion.

It's because it was always called the Interdictor in the all the games, this random Immobilizer 418 name came later

I may be remembering wrong but wasn't it called an Immoblizer 418 class in the WEG soucebooks where it first appeared? Interdictor is the role not the class name.

If Intredictor is good enough for Timothy Zahn, it's good enough for me...

Never played EaW enough as I found it clunky and not as deep as Rebelion/Supremacy.

The thing is, "Interdictor", "Interdictor cruiser" and "Immobilizer 418-class cruiser" are three different names for the same ship. This is the one in Zahn's novels.

"Interdictor-class Star Destroyer" (mentioned above) refers to a different ship altogether. This far larger design shows up a lot in the comics.

To make matters worse, there's also an "Interdictor-class Cruiser" from the Old Republic era.

that last one looks wrong

A thing I would love the Interdictor and CC-7700 to be able to do (and would fit well with what they did in Rebellion) is stop my opponent running away till the last round is over and make the game end in a draw :P

That's pretty much what it does:
