Happy Friday. Playing Saturday night. More importantly, solidifying plans for Labor Day weekend Epic play. Rumor has it Deathrain will make an appearance.

My Amazon Wave VII Order should arrive today too, and having a board game evening! Hopefully can convince my mate to play x-wing with me so I can try out... well ... me.

I'll share some selfies of me and my miniature counterpart later.

Got my 2 K-Wings and Punishers to play with this weekend and my Tantive is on its way, yaaaay! Happy Friday!

No travel yet, but wave 7 is on it's way to me. Somehow I only actually bought two Kizraxxzff consonant fighters, I guess the FLGS gets to sell me one.

Sorry, no pics. I will say the Raider tore the Corvette a new one (the other players were on a massive tirade about how overpowered the Raider build was, with up to 5 separate attacks), but ultimately, the game went to the Rebels due to the Empire losing its starfighters, and Jan Ors + Han Solo getting in behind the Raider. After that, game over, pretty much - no way for me to effectively get them in my guns. I think the Empire should have focused more on killing the starfighters once I took out the Fore section of the Corvette.

Live and learn.

Mistakes:

- Once fore section of Corvette down, switch to fighters. Kill the ones with the higher attacks.

- Starfighters should also focus on enemy fighters with high attack values instead of going for kill quantity

Game took 5 hours. 300 points each side.

Ugh 5 hours.

Well, we did break for pizza, and setup took a small while too. Maybe 4 hours.

I will say in the end realizing I had lost because of the tactical situation turned it into a less than epic defeat. More like a realized clerical error. But, I know better now and will be much more calculating next time.
