Just wondering?
What would be the Imperials equivalent to BBBBX build?
Do u mean bbbbz? Or is this some new list for 109 pts?
I'm not sure. What would be the rebels equivalent to TTTTIIIA?
The beauty of this game is that there isn't necessarily an equivalent on the opposing side.
That's why we have separate factions. It makes NO sense to have all the same ships on both sides.
I'm not sure. What would be the rebels equivalent to TTTTIIIA?
That would be ZZZZ and Chewie.
OK, What would be the Imperial best build against the BBBBZ?
And what I came up with as an equivalent five Gammas with Seismic charges, or three Firesprays.
Edited by devotedknightBBBBZ is a list that is more defined by math than anything else.
So I would guess AC/DC, sine that is a build that largely got people excited because of the math behind it.
I like ACDC as the Imperial equivalent.
Fel/Jax/Phennir, or something like Fel/Vader/Echo, would beat BBBBZ pretty reliably.
BBBBZ = 4 tempests with AC, dark curse. ACDC
I would venture a guess that AC/DC would beat BBBBZ quite often.
I'd reckon, as others have said it's the 4 advanced plus your favorite 16 point tie.
If it beats it, then it isn't the equivalent.
You need something that Ties it.
I'm not sure. What would be the rebels equivalent to TTTTIIIA?
Isn't that 123 points?
I would say the best equivalent would be 4x Omicron Group Pilots and 1x Sienar Test Pilot (speculation).
depends on what you want by "equivalent"
8 tie swarm is largely similar (spam cost efficient generics) and was here since Wave 0
only problem is m.o.v + green dice being bastards, which BBBBZ suffers less from
BBBBZ works on pure mathematical efficiency. Therefore, as a comparison, I would like to suggest as the Imperial equivalent:
4x Academy Squadron Pilot
4x Obsidian Squadron Pilot
I'm guessing 4 TIE bombers and TIE Advanced? ![]()
I'm guessing 4 TIE bombers and TIE Advanced?
That works mathmatically, but in the other direction.
Swarm + Howlrunner is the math way to get damage through. Usually with some Draw their Fire thrown in, but the new turret makes that pointless. You can't play dumb anymore if you want to beat the new turret spam, and arc dodging is less effective because of the fragility of the dodgers and the ships Imperials have capable of equipping Autothrusters.
Extra Munitions may be the Silver Bullet.
There are quite a few shuttle spams with some great numbers.
3 shuttles with heavy laser cannons and engine upgrade runs 96 points.
3 shuttles with FCS, Gunner, and Engine Upgrade come to 96 points.
3 shuttles with Advanced Sensors, Mangler Cannon and Engine Upgrade also come to 96 points.
Make one of those shuttles Captain Yorr for 3 points and you can have the three of them stay in one corner of the map the entire game.
Edited by VulfFour Accuracy Corrector Advanced and Dark Curse.
I ran some brief numbers a while ago, and it looked like a pretty favorable matchup for the Imperials
That's not the best answer for BBBBZ, but it is the equivalent. The Acc. Correctors mean that the advanced always have focus for defence, and Dark Curse is an amazing tank anyway. An Imperial tank list isn't something we've had before now.
I would say the equivalent would be closer to 4 Punishers with Dark Curse because of their health and dial. ACDC is better, but ship-wise I think Punishers are more similar.
You could get 4 Punishers with FCS and Autothrusters. The fewer ships in your opponent's squadron, the better it would perform.
3 Lambda Shuttles and 1 Bounty Hunter.
Or 4 Lambda Shuttles and Night Beast.
